Below is a list of locations and aspects of the layout to refresh your memory, listed in order following the main line from the bottom up, starting from the west helix: Royal Gorge Route Canon City Portland Cement Plant Evraz Steel Plant, Pueblo La Junta Yard Lamar Holly Holcomb Power Plant Garden City Charleston Elevator Wichita Industrial Park Wichita Yard Towanda El Dorado Industrial Park El Dorado Refinery Union Tank Car Company Aspects of the layout that aren’t location specific that I can focus on: Track weathering and ballast Rolling stock weathering Structures Backdrops Scenery Layout skirting Fascia/Valance Layout Electrical (Lighting/Signals/Etc.) The polls for this weekend will close at midnight Central U.S. time on Sunday, October 27th. Votes will be tabulated Monday and a short video update will be posted Monday afternoon regarding the vote result and my plan to carry it out. Power to the viewers!! great update my vote is for structures. as for the hobby lobby trees I've found if you dry brush some gray and light brown on the trucks it gets rid of the plastic look and add some flocking or super leaves they look allot better.

I can see the layout is really coming together nicely now.. I think the post it notes are a good idea to help remember what has been done and a talking point. I would spend more time in the power plant area and the oil refinery area 😊 . On a side note …… the trees would very nice in background , they would blend in nicely. I also use “ O “ scale pine trees in the foreground ……. To show forced prospective…… that would be kool !!! 😊

Structures. I don’t know. I didn’t see anything written on those post its and you didn’t pick them up after you talked about it. I would have found a blank post it and not remembered what to talk about and then because I left it there I would go back to it and talk about it again, lol.

Sorry, missed the end of your question initially...I will probably not try to model much of the south/west side of the river since that will be facing away from the viewer on my layout, and therefore be difficult to see. However, that is an interesting bit of history on that route, among many others.
