I would like to say how surprised I am with your level of workmanship,,,,, but I'm not surprised anymore. It's impeccable ! Could you imagine how long things would take if you didn't have access to the CNC plasma table ? I can. I built 6 or 7 square body trucks for off road in the late 80s into the early 90s. What takes 10 or 15 minutes with the plasma,,, you could have been all day just trying to fab up a pair of mounts. That would of been a game changer for sure.

I hope you include some hydraulic bump stops and you will need limit straps. Also, having an alternator that low isn't good if the truck sees any water crossings or puddles. Wegner Automotive makes a front drive kit that relocates the alternator and compressor up top and has a dedicated supercharger belt. You might also consider how to engineer a front sway bar while it is easy to cycle the suspension. A solution here is not obvious, given all the moving parts.
@tylerseabook9423 Жыл бұрын
Dumbest thing I’ve ever read🤦♂️ no alternator ever on any car ever hasn’t gotten wet🤦♂️ and this thing 100% doesn’t need limiting straps

Arent you not fully utilizing the travel of the shock? Would it not be best to get a smaller shock(cheaper) and have it at a less drastic angle (closer to normal to the axel) and get the same amount of travel?
@SalvagetoSavage Жыл бұрын
The shocks are supposed to be angled backwards for this suspension/4-link. At best, if we used a shorter shock, it would give us the same amount of vertical travel in the wheel, but that travel would happen over less travel in the shock, and the suspension wouldn't be as effective.

@SalvagetoSavage Жыл бұрын
It's a fully rebuilt TR6060 using a Camaro bell housing and a transaxle tail shaft housing out of a corvette. We could have left the the 3 minute uncut explanation of Andrew explaining the entire RPM rebuild but we didn't expect anyone watching to be so dense or pedantic
@theshop2545 Жыл бұрын

@CrankAddict Жыл бұрын
@@SalvagetoSavage Ouch! As a corvette guy, I recognized that the transmission was NOT from a Corvette as was claimed. Maybe meticulous or precise would describe me better than dense or pedantic. KZbinrs would probably be interested in knowing that this was camaro transmission with a corvette tailhousing. Was the tailshaft camaro or corvette? who makes the adapter that you used?
