Another solid video Kadz, so many recruiters don't believe in scripts, I do, solid content again.

Very in depth video providing a lot of value here - great work. I've been in recruitment for several years and running my own firm for the last 12 months, I think a few things I could add would be to meet up with the key decision makers where possible, this works exceptionally well in construction recruitment (my industry) and it's harder for them to disregard you once you've taken the time to meet with them (site managers in my case). It's very easy to make these sales calls too as you're just asking whether or not you can drop by and give them some business cards once you're in the area - they're a lot more likely to say yes, and then you can keep tabs on them every few weeks. Look forward to seeing future content!

The best way I find to get past a gate keeper, is to be blunt 'Hi is John about?' - (John is the Md). Never say where you are calling from or what its about. If asked, be blunt, sound like an MD.
@kadzmoney4 жыл бұрын
Thats what everybody does. The way I see it is either they will put you through or wont.

@@kadzmoney - There is a skill involved with gate keepers, as much as a skill in the call themselves. Most GKs are not trained well and, as therefore if you are blunt and sound like a person the director would speak with you have a much better chance of going though versus Hi, I am calling from ect, is john about....

One of the worst things you could do. The gatekeeper can give you information nobody else would. Be nice to her/him because most don't and watch how much information she shares with you. Unless the gatekeeper is not there in the head this won't work if you were that important you'd have the MDs mobile number.
@JamesMoss233 жыл бұрын
@@abumusa_ch - I'd have to disagree, gatekeepers are trained to filter calls, providing only the contact name and the tone of you request this will give the gatekeeper less info to off to screen the call.

@@JamesMoss23 In your comment before you said GKs are not trained well, now they're trained well? Like I said before if you were that important you'd have the MDs mobile number don't undermine the intelligence of a gate keeper. Ps I actually own and run a recruitment company.

do you have any tips on cold calling a company that aren't advertising a role but to just get your foot in the door? I do temp construction and don't know if this would still apply

TY akhi, can you make a similar video? Love to hear your thoughts on this topic

@@kadzmoney My thoughts on this are deep bro, I genuinely believe to understand and learn sales takes minimum of 6 months of constant learning. From understanding the gate keeper which is such a detailed topic to then knowing different types of sales calls. Cold call, Reference call, Speccing in a candidate and more. I also believe good sales calls don't start from the client but actually the candidate who can give some great leads! Maybe a hour podcast on this topic😅

Hi Kadz, again great video thank you. what is your opinion on Phaidon? and in comparison to Hays for example?
@kadzmoney4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ryan, trust me Phaidon international would be a great place to start! Better than Hays, you can grow well within the company and unlikely you will leave there if you enjoy recruitment.
