Kaesora Library - Enchanter Solo Dungeon Crawl - Everquest P99

Going after uninhabited dungeons solo that are considered super dangerous even for a full group is my new favorite thing to do with my Enchanter. Kaesora is one of those mostly avoided zones that I tackle in this video.
I crawl into the Library in the video. A great spot to gain experience for a 40 enchanter... and that's exactly what I did for the entire level.
The high zone experience modifier, the challenge of learning the dungeon, and it's vast emptiness from other players makes it one of my favorite solo crawls so far.
I was thinking of staying here until 44, but there are a few other dungeons in this level range that I want to solo crawl before they become too easy with a few more levels under my belt.

This was one of my favorite zones on Neph when he was around lvl43 or so. As a necro, this was a nice spot before transitioning to the drudgery of bloodgill gobbos in LOIO. Also, a nice time and place to stock up on deadwood staves while you go.

yea, this was pretty much my first actual solo dungeon crawl with an enchanter. I came to love the zone as well. This is definitely a necro playground lol.

you should use Gina program instead of setting enchanter mez timers on your phone its a lot easier, and helps with a lot of other things, and its not illegal to have on the server , it just reads your logs and gives you a timer that is an overlay on your screen, doesnt affect the actual game

I know this is late and you have probably already figured it out or been told about it. This is more for future views and for future Enchanters watching this. The reason your mem blur didn't actually work was because you were in its aggro range when it blurred, so it just re-aggroed you. You need to calm and then blur, if you're in close quarters, to keep something blurred.

Hey there really been enjoying your vids. I'm a 39 necro and just trying my hand at charming here.my question is what do you do when the zone is 90% warders walking around. I've attempted this place twice and it was all warders. I found I would get them down but they would just heal sooo many times that my mana pool couldn't keep up. Any suggestions on strategy

its definitely a pain when that happens. i haven't played necro very much so I don't know your tool set, but if you have some form of stuns, it's a huge help at the finishing kill shots.

@@RektYou I dont think we do have any stuns. Was going to try and find my 2 quickest cast time nukes I guess. Another thought I had was to charm warders and just kill them off to repop zone and hopefully get less warders. I dunno will see lol.thanls for reply love yer vids definitely want to play an enchanter next

Just commenting in case anyone wants a tip on dealing with healers, they only cast heal when in melee as a necro your best bet it beat them up to 50%then root them and use DoTs to kill them which are much more mana efficient than nukes

I lived in Kaesora on my necro charming in the library. Had so much fun down there. Great video! Soon I would recommend (lvl 44) heading to lake of ill omen. Use water elemental illusion and head to the bottom of the lake and do bloodgill goblins. Low HP and they spawn in sets of 2. Perfect for an enchanter.

that was exactly my plan at 44 for the exp grind. I am thinking about going to Kedge Keep around 45-46 to experience some major challenge too and deep dive a dungeon people rarely visit.

Did you notice it got significantly easier (regarding charm breaks/resist etc) in this zone when you hit 41?

Small increases in effectiveness for sure as you level past lvl 40. By lvl 50, charming is much more reliable. It's a bit rough before 40s. 5 minute long charms are so helpful over those 10 second breaks haha

Going to necro this video with a couple things... 1- Lull didn't work really at all on live back in the day (prior to Pop xpac) so this shows me p99 is not all that accurate 2- I didn't charm solo much at all on my enc back in the day and had a blast as I was grouped all the time and dungeon crawling bleeding edge stuff. If you are bored on an Enc I dunno what to say to that =p

lull did work back on live. that's where I originally came from. I also didn't charm at all back during live when I originally played, but it's 10x more fun to solo charm. We just didn't have as good an understanding about the game in live as they do 20 years later of data.

@@RektYou Nope lull didn't work really at all, did when the game first came out like march 99 but was quickly nerfed into shit and didn't get useful till planes of power. druid Harmony was usful, outdoors anyways but not the lull/soothe/calm/pac line
