​@@excrononot necessary, you cannot legally protect a language, even a fictional one At most, the creators of Star Trek could sue other movies and tv shows from using it in their fiction to stop them trying to assert that their legally-distinct aliens are Klingons by anything but name But officially, anyone can use the Klingon language for any purpose so long as you don't use the word "Klingon" as that's trademarked
