Explanatory comment about Sevinne's Reclamation and Kalamax's infinite turns combo (because there are a lot of questions about them): Sevinne's Reclamation's copying itself is part of its effect. You get the copy as the original resolves. If it gets countered or fizzles, you don't get to copy it. It's different from eldrazi, storm and cascade spells, which have separate triggered abilities when you cast them. As for the Kalamax + Twinning Staff infinite turns combo: 1. Cast Temporal Mastery, hold priority; 2. Cast Twincast, targeting Temporal Mastery; 3. Kalamax triggers, copying Twincast twice thanks to Twinning Staff; 4. Target Temporal Mastery with one Twincast copy; 5. Target Twincast itself with the other copy; 6. Twincast copy targeting the original Twincast resolves, creating two more copies of Twincast; 7. Repeat steps 4-6 over and over again, creating as many copies of Temporal Mastery as you want.

For posterity, making a comment about this Powerful Perusing of Patron's Playstyles. Spoilers for the video ahead. Notable moments in this game include the following: Pyroblast stopping 2 extra turns. The first Vexing Shusher interaction, preventing Kyle from winning. The 2nd Vexing Shusher interaction, nearly winning Mike the game if it weren't for a ludicrously large stack to prevent infinite mana gain by only being short 1 attacker. Steal Enchantment existing and being used at a competitive EDH table. "Mike taps his Gaea's Cradle for 25, likely just to flex."

I have a cedh kalamax that’s pure control with Kiki lines, and I can honestly say kalamax turns is probably the worst iteration of kalamax you can make. He can combo really fast if you build around his twinning staff and isc/reversal lines.

If you respond to the activation with another counterspell, you have to activate shusher again because the counterspell resolves before the original activation.

at 6:09 a mistake was made, ive seen it far too often, sevinnes reclamation states: if it is cast from grave you may copy it, he should have had two sevinnes reclamations on the stack and gotten either LED or breach since only half of sevinnes was countered.

The copy effect isnt upon cast, its upon resolution. If the spell is countered then it isn't copied.

11:37 how does this lead to infinite turns? i know kalamax can create infinite copies of twincast, but each of those copies except for the last two (or three with twinning staff) will resolve as just twincast, not temporal mastery. so at a maximum you would get 4 extra turns, one from the original cast, one from the original twincast, one from kalamax's copy of twincast, and one from twinning staff's copy of twincast. is that not correct?

It’s called polytyrant. It intentionally does that. You flip into it and go infinite with mana positive rocks. You then sink that into urza’s ability.

4:40 This exact same thing happened in my play group recently, but someone argued that the temporal mastery doesn't go to the graveyard until the whole stack is finished, so the copy actually didn't fizzle. I thought it should fizzle. Can anyone else confirm?

@@jessejames9684 Top is the combo piece in Elsha or you wouldn't play that deck. Just needed a cost reducer and it is free draws. Can draw the deck by placing top on top of it and cast top for free over and over again. My version of Elsha has 6 mana reducers and I pack more artifacts and Urza in it to make it so I can play down all of the mana producers and get to my win cons.
