Hello everyone!
I am still trying to do a video every day in December! We're almost there!
I don't normally do reviews, but this was requested. I have been using these highlighters for over a month. I have worn them in different conditions and for long stretches of time.

I really appreciate the fact that you thoroughly tested and used them before doing a review! That's so rare in the beauty community. Ooooooh! Moon Cruiser! Thanks for pointing out how they would behave differently on different skin tones. I like that a few are more buildable; I could just touch up highlighter after work. Your honesty with the pros and cons of these is greatly appreciated. Kaleidos was on my new-brands-to-try list for months but I wasn’t sure where to start. The highlighters look like a fun multi-use product so I decided they were a good entry point to the brand. There’s such an allure in having all of them, but the reality is not all will look or feel good on everyone. Seeing all the swatches and your experience with them helps consumers make informed purchasing choices. I ended up picking 4 (prophecy, moon cruiser, mars melter old and new) for highlighter and to use on my eyes. I’m very happy with my choices. ☺️ Thank you, Elle.

"Work appropriate" is one of those terms I don't understand. It doesn't beat "public opinion" (there's no such thing!), though. Wonderful walk through, and a great substitute gor NYE fireworks. I'm a guy and don't wear highlighter, but I *would* put some of these on my eyes. I'm basic like that.

I just found your channel and this review is so helpful! ❤️ I am thinking about gettin Star Surfer or Solar Sailor. Do you think it is worth buying Solar Sailor if I already own Prophecy? Do they have similiar effect on the skin? Thank you so much beauty ❤️

Solar Sailor is VERY different from Prophecy. It's really a subtle golden highlighter. I sometimes pair them together, actually. I like Prophecy around my eyes and Solar Sailor on my cheekbones! If you don't like subtle I'd pass on Solar Sailor though. It doesn't have the same kind of reflect as Prophecy. And Star Surfer is similar!

Great video I love thorough reviews! Im still tempted by Ray Rider and star sailor...i wish i had the cajones to wear prophecy but i work in a rather conservative environment so I just wouldnt give it the love it so clearly deserves!

Hi! Thanks for the review 😄 I treat myself by having Mars melter (new version) and Moon Cruiser and after trying them, they're just SO good. It's definitively something unique and I love it! I'm a student, so I don't have a bunch of restrictions about how I should looks like in everyday basis (at least when Covid isn't there and I can actually go to Unni 🙄). I love, love colour so these are so great to add a bit of sparkle in my makeup when I don't have the time to work a lot on my eye makeup. Mars melter definitively works better on my skin tone but who doesn't like a splash of blue right 😂 ? I still have to learn how to use it without leaving a strait line of colour on my face 😅 but I'm getting there. Until now, I applied highlight with my finger, I will try with a brush now. To summarize, my comment is just a bunch of words to say "It's a dream for unnusual thingies lovers!" 😁 Have a nice day (or night)!

Those are great choices! I do find a brush helps the most- especially a longer bristled brush if you want to avoid that "line of colour" thing!

What's your skin tone? Those are the two I plan to buy after seeing Elle's review! I'm medium skinned btw. Always wanted to try blue highlighter even though I'm skeptical about how it'll look on me, but a girl can try 😀

@@inkasaraswati7625 That'd a good question. Keep in mind that I never get an "evaluation" of my skin tone. It's self applied. I would say I'm a light medium, with a yellow undertone (does it makes sense?). I'm definitivily more tan than Elle S. To give you an more clear view (at least I hope), bronze hilighter looks great on me because it's literrally my skin color with a shine. For the blue highlight, I thought that cool toned would work only for fair skin. That's completely wrong! As long as you're not heavy hand on it (which I didn't try yet by the way 🤔) it looks good. It's a weird description but it's like your skin is icing 😂. Hope it's help 😃.

@@shadowsmoked88 you could remove the divider & use it to store magnetic palettes. I have the massive coloured raine palettes & I think it’s be so cute to have that tin on my makeup drawers & have it opened with all my magnetic palettes standing in it. But one of my friends on IG made her own dividers out of foam board & uses it for her brushes. So maybe think of where you’d want to put it, if you want the lid open or close, then think of what it would be useful to store. You could also use it to store bathroom essentials with the lid closed so there wouldn’t be any dust. But maybe then you’d have to worry about condensation & it rusting? Idk but I really want one lol 😋😋💜💜

WOW this look is stunning! I love how you do your blush placement! Where did you get your lashes from? They're FABULOUS!! I finally made a purchase from Kaleidos and tried out Space Age Prophecy and Mars Melter. I 100% agree with you about Prophecy, it's one of the most unique highlighters I've tried and it's GORGEOUS! I found Mars Melter a little disappointing, but that might just be because I made the mistake of trying Prophecy first! I'll try layering Mars with blush next time because I love the way it mixed with your blush! I LOVE Moon Cruiser, I definitely want to try that one next (though I REALLY don't need more highlighters!!).

You said you were a NW15 (MAC) & are cool toned. However, the W means warm. So that confuses me. I am a NC15 (MAC) because I am cool toned. My question: Did you mean NC? My complexion is very similar to yours which is why I am asking. I thought I would want the Ray Rider (as many have recommended that one as being smooth & champaign in tone) But now I am wondering if Star Surfer would not be better for me? Wish you had tried those 2 on as well. But I know you were trying to show off the most unique shades! IF you happen to wear one of those shades (Ray Rider or Star Surfer) in another video I would love if you would mention what highlight you are wearing. Thx Elle!!! :) - I am wanting to place an order for their Lunar Lavender & Astro Pink palettes, so want to decide on a highlighter too.

MAC uses the reverse for some reason. So Elle is neutral warm foundation for her cool toned skin tone... I think I read somewhere it’s to balance the colour on the face but I’m not sure

Thx for your input! I am not an expert in this. I have to be matched at the store for any foundation. But I have been matched by 2 different MAC employees for NC15. BUT this was a long time ago, since I have NOT worn MAC foundation in a long time. However, even at Sephora, they lean with a pink tone (not yellow) when matching me.

I think they just classify red/pink as warmer than yellow. Thus w=red/pink and c=yellow. And NW and NC are neutral-warm and neutral-cool.

Yeah, as other people have commented MAC does "neutral warm" for cool tones and "neutral cool" for warm tones. Many people just refer to it as "not warm" or "not cool" You could've been matched to NC 15 depending on how long ago it was that you did get matched, and what the product was. There was a time when they didn't have lighter than NW20 for some products. And if you lean a little more neutral than cool, a light NC (like 15) would work. Hope that helps!
