Don't forget, once you've completed your drills, *switch hands!* If you don't develop both sides, equally, from the beginning it becomes more difficult as you go to try to "catch up" with your off hand. The muscle development will be more equal, your ability with both hands will be equal and your mental ability to decipher the situation and use the appropriate attack will be equal. The same goes for learning how to hammer, on nails or at the forging anvil, being able to use both sides reduces injuries and increases longevity at your art. I mention the hammer as that translates to a loy of weapon theory and practice. To improve your contact skills, pick a hammer and hit the exact same spot on a 2x4 or soft piece of wood. Draw a circle about the size of a silver dollar and go as slowly as necessary to be able to hit the circle every time you swing, increasing speed/power as you get more comfortable. A journeyman carpenter can drive a large nail in three hits, all day long. Learning "transitional skills" will do nothing but help your arts and everything else you do. Practice with both hands 🙌 !! It's rare to see younger teachers today who understand how to break things down into their core parts. I tought years ago and it wasn't much better, then... You have to work to find good training as much as to practice good training.

So much skill realigning to take home in these basic exercise drills. At least an hour just sailed by practising the forehand drill 2, the fluid-double clockwise stick rotate/return at min 8 sec 18 - min 8 sec 34 of this video. Dense-deadly Kali.

Any thoughts on marketing your videos to older folks. Your basic kali moves would be ideal. Cardio, stretching the muscles, improved balance with footwork, and a program more effective and interesting than other exercises.
