Kalorik Maxx Touch 16 Qt 9-in-1 Air Fryer Oven Features:
Max temperature of 500°F which is great for searing steak, fish or vegetables.

I can't figure out how to toast or bake on unit. When I followed directions unit seems turn off& just shows start/stop light. Then it turns off. Help! Lyn

We bought this to replace the larger Kalorik Maxx which died after 22 months of use. It's more compact but OK for the uses we need it for. My only comment is that there was a thin rubber strip at long the bottom of the door where the hinges are. The rubber strip fell out when we unboxed it. Does anyone know if this rubber strip is just a shock absorber for transport? Or is it necessary?

Thanks for this video. Is it safe to use a silicon mat for the crumble tray and parchment paper liners for the racks?

Thanks for the question, oven safe silicon should be fine just make sure they are oven temperature rated and parchment paper will also work. Be aware that there is a fan in the oven and it may fly around if not weight down. Hope that helps.

Thanks for this video. I have the Vortex Plus oven which I love except I wish it was just a little bigger. I have seen this online and have been wondering if it will fit a small muffin tin. I have limited counter space so don't want to get one much bigger.

Does the light add to the temperature at all?

The light is similar to the one found in a conventional oven. If it generates heat it's not enough to make a difference in the cooking process. Thanks for the question.

I still love this unit although about a week ago the oven failed to start so I contacted Kalorik and they are sending me out a new unit. Very happy with their response and customer service. TIP: if you purchase any small appliance make sure to register it, many times this may double the warranty period and you will have a better experience when dealing with the manufacturer.

Hi Joe. Did your unit smell like burnt plastic when you first used it?

@Andres Lozano the Kalorik unit uses sheet metal on the inside, and the outer casing is also made using sheet metal, so there was no plastic smell as it doesn't contain plastic in the heating areas. Hope that helps. Thanks for the question.😎👍

Thanks for the reply Joe. The reason I ask is because I got one last night and when I turned it on started to smell weird, like burnt plastic, and I opened it to see inside and a little bit of smoke came out and I had nothing inside tho . Perhaps it’s something wrong with my unit.

The manufacturer recommends performing a burn off the first time to cook off any residual machine oils used during the manufacturing process. Have you tried it since?

You must not have read the directions because you are cooking things on the wrong level. Plus you are not supposed to use any foil at all. And you are letting the chicken drip on the heating elements when you should be using the drip/baking tray to catch the drips. Instead you are using the crumb tray to catch things but it is also dripping on the heating elements at the same time.
