As for rust prevention, one product I can recommend is Cavity Coater. Its a spray wax that creeps into all little gaps. It comes with a great applicator which is a long flexible hose to snake through the frame rails. Also, "Rust 911" is a concentrated version of Evaporust. Much cheaper.

Progress is amazing, and a reply to the comment you made about thinking the viewers wouldve wanted you to scrap the r32 in the first place, as a viewer, Id rather see a entire rebuild of a car from the ground up rather than see someone blow hella $$$ on more modern car with minimal rust and not have to rebuild it. You’re doing great Kalvin, be proud of yourself!!!

Well-said! The average person isn't interested in this type of dedication and content, unfortunately. Kalvin is part of a very small club of people who have extraordinary skillsets.

Steps to success: Step 1: Uninformed Optimism Step 2: Informed Pessimism Step 3: Trench of Despair Step 4: Informed Optimism Step 5: Success Most people quit and start something else between steps 1 and 3 then get stuck in a repeating cycle. Well done on breaking the cycle and achieving something most could never dream of!

Kalvin my brother. I'm an supporter and huge admirer of your work even before the GTR. I'm here watching you for years. Been here through your struggles your lowest and your highest. I was here when you lost faith and about to give up. I'm 6000 miles away. Atlantic Ocean seperates us but we are closer than ever. Here's to you brother. Have a drink and enjoy every moment. We'll be here for you no matter what. We love you dude.

I know it would be expensive, but I hope you have this insured for several hundred thousand. No one wants to think about that, but at some point you will be driving this. Not assuming you're at all a bad driver, but accidents can happen regardless of your driving and you don't want all of your work to be for nothing. Love the build, don't remember how early I started watching, but definitely before your DIY rotisserie. Keep up the good work.

Hey Kalvin! Been watching since the burgundy 240sx days and have been a hater/fan . Hater because I wished my life was like yours and envious that you took big risks. Eventually being able to afford getting your GTR and happy that you got a dud.I was even negative about this whole GTR rebuild thinking it was impossible. I was probably projecting my own insecurities regarding failure and wanted to see your downfall. I’ve been keeping up with this build and can say that you have changed my mind . You have a determination/ drive that most people don’t have throughout their lifetime. These videos have helped me keep pushing through the ups and downs of life. I have become fan of your work and happy to see you finally smile after this whole ordeal. You have proven many people wrong and turned haters into supporters. After this rebuild I hope you become a GTR rebuild guru and attract more business. You will be able to make alot of money to do rebuilds due to demand! Looking forward to you finishing this build !

I’m so excited to see this car come together. It’s crazy seeing the Z knowing where it started, and even with the s13 how it’s gone back and forth just constantly changing with time. I know you don’t cut corners so when you do something with that car again it’s going to be incredible. I totally get where you’ve been with the car as I’ve been in a lot of the same positions with my 240z and going through a total revival with it. When almost nobody has gone in as far as you have it can feel like you’re all alone trying to find your way out the other side. And it’s definitely hard and your GTR has gone in super deep down the rabbit hole. Massive respect and the work you’ve done speaks volumes about the results you’re after for your cars and customer cars. And a massive inspiration for us out here sailing the same waters in your wake.

invest in a small 40 litre sand blaster or something to clean up the small parts like the fuel filler and door stricker plate instead of tryna sand/grind the rust out, to avoid wrecking what's left of the good metal
