@@bloodangel19 for more context, the only thing that eats faster than Loki is the literal personification of fire. Then, to actually give birth to the horse (who has 6 legs btw) he needs to be fucked by one. And the earthquake thing is cause he'd be chained under a mountain with Gleipnir while poison would trickle towards his eyes while his wife would desperately try to stop the droplets with a bowl all that after he had to see his children forced kill each other by the other Vanir and Aesir gods. And everytime she would need to empty the bowl, Loki would feel the searing pain of the poison drilling into his eyes causing him to spasms and trash around, causing the earthquakes.... Sometimes I wonder who between the Greeks and the Norse have worst gods sometimes

Elysium no longer has an overseer. That means the spirits are locked in forever. And no new spirits can go there. Everyone in the Greek gods sphere of influence that died after Hades death, is just a wandering spirit. Sheesh. They really need to address this.

I think the reason why kratos is so unique is because he also has the strength of the titans as well as his godly strength

He isn't that unique. Zeus was more unique than him. Able to shapeshift into a person, a bird, create lightning. Kratos just has super strength and Rage of Sparta without his weapons. Blades of chaos were just gifted to him by Ares and it isn't the source of his actual strength. And thats why the blades of olympus was prolly used I think.

This is most certainly a prediction, and a true one at that. Kratos will not cross into Valhalla because he's not Norse( a Dane, a Jute, a Geat, nor a Goth) nor will he die in the Norse realm. In the event Kratos dies, his fate would probably be something horrible.

Kratos healing & physical strength is enhanced because of Prometheus fusing his ashes on him. It's the only original upgrade he has that can't be dispelled, nullified or expires.

It seems like the Norse world starts reacting chaotically when a God is not supposed to die at THAT POINT. The sky turned red and stormy when Atreus was sick because the Ragnarok prophecy couldn't be fulfilled without him. Although Baldur died and triggered Fimblewinter, he still fulfilled the prophecy so that Ragnarok could finally begin.

Loki causes everything that happens so he is very important, but I'd say if Thor or Odin died before they were meant to, in Ragnarok, then the world would also act the same.

In the 1st scene with Mimir talking to Jormungandr we see the serpent look at Atreus and say something to which Mimir responds with "Curious" and doesn't go into detail about that. My theory is since Jormungandr is Loki's son, he recognizes this and makes note of it. So at minimum Mimir know Atreus will be the Serpent's father. >.>

12:53 -- I think here, jure7575 may have meant something in regards to what happens in God of War 3, in terms of what happens when a god dies. For example, when Poseidon is killed by Kratos, the water level rises. When Helios is killed, the son is seemingly blocked for good, via the clouds. Something that happens that specifically corresponds with said god, when they are killed. Or even in the case of Baldur, where with Baldur, Ragnarok comes. I think more on the premise, on if something happens after Magni is killed, effects the Norse Realm. Granted, unless I missed something, we only see this concept in God of War 3. The rest of the Greek Gods, either blow up, or nothing note worthy happens.

I dont know if you'll read this, but its relevant so what the hell. I think what happened to the Blade of Olympus is as follows. When kratos falls to his knees after releasing hope, running himself through with it, you can see the Blade completely drain of all light, all visible energy. We never see this in any other instance in the past trilogy, I believe. So I think Kratos absorbed the godly powers within the blade upon his suicide. This makes sense to me, since he drained basically all his powers as the God of War into the blade to wield it in the second game. He could've even potentially absorbed power from Zeus as well, if he had to do the same to wield it. Just a theory I've compiled over the years, from reading many others theories, and repeatedly watching that final scene. It honestly feels much more believeable that he survived his death via that, and his thought that the Gods placed a curse on him is just his own assumption. The mind memory of Kratos and the large wolves with the woman, though, that stuff screams to me that theres gonna be some seriously crazy time jumping shenanigans in the sequels. It felt like the woman could be Hel, and maybe the third unamed wolf could actually be a shapeshifted Atreus, but thats a complete unknown at this point in time. Great video, I found and binge watched the comic videos, they're very entertaining. That Issue three, though, thats some hot garbage for that price.

Hey, great video, I really enjoyed this. I do have to say that in the GoW franchise, especially 3, the death of each god caused the natural force they oversaw to run amok, first seen in 3 with Poseidon. In Norse myth, Baldr is the god of the summer sun. No warming summer sun, no end to winter. That's why fimblewinter begins on his death. I scrolled through and didn't see anyone else point this out, so sorry if this is a repeat.

Honestly, a scene in Ragnarok were you go to Greece would be great and it would actually be sick if you found the blade of Olympus and brought it back. Hell actually it could be a good plot device if they want to purge anyone of their god powers. To be fair, I think it is stated that the blade is connected to the fires of Olympus which were destroyed with Zues. So perhaps after Kratos used it, he drained it of its power. I can absolutely imagine a self fighting sword that you could throw and it just starts attacking whoever you throw it at until they're dead, then it drops. You would be able to upgrade it to attack more people of perform better attacks whilst doing so. I do hope they add more weapons because I love the combat system and the way you can mix up between weapons has so much potential. Plus the Norse myth has a lot of cool weapons. I do agree though, each of the weapons need to feel distinct from one another, like the way the Lethiathan Axe and the Blades of Chaos do.

In the end od gow 3 we can see Gaia's dying body destroying few of the olympus palaces... She could die in this scene. But no one really knows.. The devs are avoiding this questions couse They don't know what to do with her.. So, most likely this question will remain unanswered or They will choose the lazy option - killed by Gaia's body. (Lets hope i'm wrong and we will bang her again lol. Family friendly Kratos is good, but earlier... He was a beast!)

Do you think it's possible that Kratos' first wife is actually in the axe as Kratos could have potentially picked up his wife's soul when he slayed Hades. Because his wife's souls has not been seen or talked about since being slayed. Therefore, the interview talking about Faye being in the Blade is just another thing by Corey to throw us of. If so that Faye could have recognized that and instead saved her soul for a better purpose (whether she has another part to her plan or that she simply could be ressurected. Then with this theory you can think about maybe the blade was talking to Atrieus when Kratos was in the light. I don't know not a big GOW fan but that appeared to me.

In actual Norse Mythology, Loki was son of Odin and god of Mischief, in god of war Loki is son of Kratos and we don’t know what he is the god of since he is just a boy. So I don’t think that Loki will be the god of mischief during Ragnarök, I think he will be one of the good gods because of what his father has inspired him to be. Although, we basically know at this point that Kratos is going to die during Ragnarök because of the prophecies in Jotunheim, so if anything Loki would show his true colors there or Loki will absorb his Fathers powers, and hatred for the gods, and kill all of the gods, but keep his morality. I really do think that Mimir and Kratos influenced Loki’s heart, because when Loki does figure out he’s a god he is knifing, but he finally finds his “equilibrium” when they all go to Tyr’s temple. That is my theory

I like this idea but it's worth pointing out that Atreus can be mischievous but also good if he tricks the right people. Tyr was the God of War after all and he was pretty nice from what we hear of him.

Okay... Just so no one confuses, I reinstalled the game and I'm upto the point where Kratos and atreaus meet sindri. Baldur in the initial fight does not come in search of Kratos. He does come in search of faye. I've read so many comments which suggested the opposite. The developers left subtle clues in the dialogs. Like baldur says " bigger and more enlightened" and " why did you escape and hide in Midgard?" ( Kratos never left Midgard which is earth). The marked trees Kratos cremated faye were the ones holding the spell hiding them in plain sight ( which atreaus asks by " did you cut the trees?" and Kratos replies "it was her wish, she marked the trees before she died"

When Baldur died it caused massive snowfall. Likewise when Poseidon died a massive flood was caused. Minor gods like Magni have little effect on nature (Hephaestus for example didn’t cause any volcanic eruptions or metals to rust. So Magni as well wasn’t that much of an important god as it seemed). Thor’s death however might cause a huge thunderstorm to go out of control. Surtr’s death could cause a sea of fire. Odin’s death might cause something akin to Zeus’ or so. I do think that Odin is possessed by “Greed” just as Zeus was possessed by “Fear.” (Theory: The most important gods of various mythologies are possessed by the seven sins we all know. I think that Kratos opening Pandora’s box in gow1 infected ALL pantheons.)

In Norse Mythology, gods can be killed, and can even succumb to age. Greek gods, on the other hand, can only be mutilated or imprisoned, but to my knowledge, the myths never describe them as being vulnerable to death. That's probably why it's far more catastrophic when Kratos manages to kill them.

Atreus shows throughout the game that he has minor foresight or like have the feeling of an area wether it’s war torn or peaceful or that so it’s likely that something extremely significant will happen in the next game at that time and that’s why he was able to vision it perhaps Keaton is injured and we play as Atreus for a period of time

I would like it to be said that I believe the reason kratos is seemingly more powerful than all other gods is because of his Spartan upbringing, something I feel they're paying nice homage to with how he raises his son, and as well his struggle to rise from a weaker mortal/demigod. Other gods are raised knowing they're the strongest or smartest thing there is. This leaves them with a sense of arrogance that limits their potential. Think of how Atreus acted after he first learned of his godhood. Not having to struggle and not being challenged creates complacency and stagnation. Kratos always fights with fierce determination and discipline. He does not taunt, gloat or savor his battles. He remains focused even so much so to a fault. Even if he isn't outright the strongest he is humble enough to know when to play it safe and smart enough to catch his opponents off balance and brutal enough to capitalize on it.

Mimir didn't know Atreus was a Jotünn, so he couldn't have known he was Loki. However, now that he knows there's no one left in Jotünnheim, Mimir's smart enough to put 2 and 2 together- assuming they told him this, as they never actually do in game (just beat it so can confirm). He also states he never had the pleasure of meeting Fae, so she couldn't have told him either. There is the option as to whether he was lying, but considering what he says and how surprised he seems I doubt it.

About Aphrodite..: She was born from the "privates" of Uranus (Father of Kronos, which was killed by Kronos because he tried to kill all the Titans in fear they would kill him, much like what Kronos tried to do with his kids) alone, and not from the Relationship of Uranus and Gaia (Who together gave birth to all the Titans), so techically she's half Sister to Kronos, therefore she's not an Olympian (?) Balder magni and modi dying and not causing any thing to happen around them may be because they’re not main gods. And that they’re not gods of a specific physical domain. That and they’re Aesir which are mostly human aspects: wisdom, War, etc

At 12:46 to partially answer the question(given norse mythology), when Magni and Modi died it might change the outcome of Ragnarok itself because Magni and Modi are supposed to be the only survivors, while yes Baldur's death signifies the start of the 3 year winter.

In God of War 5 Freya told Kratos that Odin kept her trapped and disabled her to afflict harm to anyone or anything not even having the ability to protect herself, for example she was sent back to her realm after she helped Kratos reach Alfheim, but in the God of War Ragnarok trailer we see her attacking Kratos. I don't think Freya was trying to NOT help them when asking for the bridge-keeper's heart. It's just that that's kind of a one-shot potion. It seems likely that we'll either find someone benefiting from not having a bridge-keeper in place, or Atreus gets some long-term benefit from the heart. Or, put another way: Free lore. I mean, we aren't supposed to cross the bridge in Helheim, and yet it seems like crossing the bridge to get to the other bridges seems like the best backdoor into the locked realms...

just something i have been pondering. i think one of the main things that made zues the most powerful god was his ability to teleport, none of the other gods could do that from what we can see. they all have some means of travelling like the portals or flying horses etc. and when zues ended the great war he didn't kill the titans he sent them to tartarus, he teleported them all to a place they could not escape.
