I love the idea of getting more "specialized" practitioners doing break down videos.

Most of the top fighters across any division have been national or world champions in their respective specialties or olympians and gold medalists etc. It's like getting a substitute teacher to critique an actual teachers curriculum or some shit. Always goofy watching people way worse than the fighters their reacting too, react and talk as though they have more talent or knowledge.

Can’t believe he didn’t pick up on Machida’s stomp with his rear foot to try and draw a reaction Couture. He saw he didnt get it so he went for the shuffle front kick

1:07 I would say at the start it was, that was exactly what the UFC was all about upon its start. But I wouldn’t so much anymore that’s what it’s about, now it’s very much about having a very good blend of a multitude of fighting styles. More so than ever before

As a diverse martial arts & combat sports enthusiast who has a karate base, I got my 1st Dan (black belt) in traditional Okinawan karate do before officially taking up any other fighting system, I strongly disagree with his claim that karate guys are always great at distance and timing. That is only true if you really practiced and trained seriously, competed in a lot of point and contact competitions sparred, and did so with focus and purpose! It simply does not apply to the typical two nights a week for two hours (two classes) for 4-6 years that are really all that is required at most contemporary American karate dojos in order to get a 1st degree black belt which is really a shame.

Guys the idea of this show is great but you have a whole ass tv with a logo instead of putting the footage on it. Instead you are pointing the camera at a tiny laptop whose color is greyed looking through the camera. Put the expert next to the tv so they only have to turn a bit and then they can turn back to the camera to discuss more. You won’t waste a camera on a poor shot and can use it on a different angle of the expert. Finally, we the audience will be able to see clearly what is being discussed. Alternatively, just edit in a clear square of the video on the bottom right, and then we don’t miss any of the expert’s reaction as he watches it.
