The worst part of a karen being related to them. my mother has gone karen on multiple occasions, the most recent of which was entirely her fault. basically, our washing machine was acting weird, so she got some guy to fix it. he took a look and said we need to get a new one. my mom made him leave and went on an angry call with the guy's company, demanding the manager and so on. Meanwhile me and my sister were in our rooms listening in with a weird mix of confusion and horror at our mom's uncharacteristic burst of rage.

Real, Imma go on a short rant while I'm here. I live in a country where it can be extremely shameful for a customer to "do the work of the employee." In the sixth grade, I played soccer. One of the kids on my team started talking trash to just the other team in general, and one of the kids on their team punches the kid that was talking trash, breaking his glasses and nose in the process. Meanwhile, the mom of the boy who punched the boy on my team got up from the sidelines and started threatening an eleven year old boy who was already on the ground crying with blood all over his face saying things like ‘IF YOU TOUCH MY SON I WILL SUE’ and ‘DONT YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN’. She even tried to hold off the paramedics that had just arrived in an ambulance. Terrible person and situation

My mother rarely goes Karen, and on the occasion she does, I like to think it's fully justified. The last time it happened, we dropped off our dog at a daycare for four days before making a quick trip across the country. Two days into our trip, we got numerous complaints about our dog's behavior at the camp and how he was 'not interacting with other pets' or 'staying holed up'. After he threw up a couple times, the veterinarian at the daycare called us and told us to pay extra for buying medicines for our dog and for 'violating the safety of other pets' at the daycare. We cut our already short trip by a day and returned home as soon as possible, where we took our dog to another (actual) vet and got told that our dog was experiencing separation anxiety, and that he would need no other treatment other than just spending time with us. After asking around at the daycare, we learned that our dog wasn't being offered the same treatment as other dogs, basically just being thrown in a cage for the entire day with no activity or space to move around at all. My mom basically blew up (justifiably) after hearing this and complained to multiple employees of the establishment (keep in mind, not insultingly toward the employees, just trashing the daycare out of pure rage for our dog being mistreated like that). We haven't sent our dog there since.

Even if she sued the place, I would say it's justified - they charged you money for a medicine that they only needed because they failed to care for your dog like they promised. However, if she called the police or tried to attack the employees then that would be a problem in my opinion.
