As a light sculptor I am more committed to baring witness with my camera. Thank you for sharing. This came through as I was trying to figure the good use of my function as a photo historian. Ms. Hunter you and Dr. Carr are the best at showing us the way to see the intentional seeds of malice in the nuance of action since before DuBois who called it out in the language oppressors like to hear as the false narrative is cloaked in the language of law and history. Truth stands alone, but is helped along by those who bare witness in sharing it. For some reason fairytales and Mary running to tell "He has risen," come to mind. Two years of hermeneutic study with Sun Tzu serves to reveal the insidiousness of the tactics of misinformation or avoidance of discussion along with the manipulation of intentional ignorance on the matter of race, takes on a new blush when applied to the Art of war. Fanning the flames of mistrust proved to be violent in January. Those using the tactic like Hawley found out control is limited at best. Thank you for stitching the details together!!!

So many responses are in my head as I listen. I agree with Professor Hunter . Yes Dr Carr is a very important part of Howard My daughter who is an alum took her Dr Carr class . And believe me these students struggle to make sure they have at least 1 Carr class on their roster . Traditionsxx cm add value and are a part of what makes the quilt that we stitch so rich snd vibrant. And those traditions are meaningful to the students and will be recalled. As for Slowe and Had forgotten about them becoming part of the gentrification . It’s unfortunate that the new dorm but then isn’t a total addition.

Professor Hunter and Dr. Carr. I listen to your podcast on KZbin as much as possible. At 67 years old you have taught me much and confirmed alot of my thoughts since I was a child. From expiring me I ran for a City Council at Large seat in my area, I live in Ohio but in a suburb. I served on the School Board seat in an outline area in California, I served 2 terms. In 1994 California State Women of the year. So after being inspired in spite of what been going on especially in Ohio I threw my hat in the ring. I lost by 120 votes my own people preferred to support one of the supporters who never been in there area even when she served before on the Council for 10 years from a promise that she will not do because she can't. Will you have a discussion on how we vote, who we vote for, and why we continue to think that a white person will save us and give us what we need.

I read Condoleezza Rice’s book, Extraordinary, Ordinary People. The entire time that I was reading the book, I wondered how a Black woman from Birmingham, Alabama during the Jim Crow era have more of an affinity towards White people than she do for her on race. I believe it was her family’s move to Denver that “Caucasian-ed” her.

Prof. Hunter and Dr. Carr, thank you for bringing attention to Pele's (aka El Rey) 81st Birthday. Prof Hunter, I remember that egregious mistake in the book and all is forgiven (smile). I haven't signed up for Knubia/Knarrative yet so please forgive that I am using You Tube to send this information. Pele is the greatest footballer ever, and to answer your question about other great Black footballers here are a list of both African born and diaspora players who have reached legendary heights in the game and around the world. First would be Pele's counterpart in Portugal, Eusebio (Eusebio da Silva Ferreira) aka the Black Pearl. Born and raised in Mozambique and recruited to Lisbon to play soccer. He is the country's greatest player, though Cristian Ronaldo will be that when he retires. He ruled European football from 1961-1975. The second most celebrated would be Ronaldo Nazario de Lima (aka O Fenômen aka Brazilian Ronaldo). He was THE Truth and led his squad to two World Cup victories and helped establish Real Madrid as the Yankees of European football. The rest I will list. Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon), Salif Keita Traore (Mali), Abedi Pele (Ghana), George Weah (Liberia), Gerald Asamoah (Germany), Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast), Yaya Toure (Ivory Coast), Jerome Boateng (Germany) Kevin Prince Boateng (Ghana), Patrice Evra (France), Thierry Henry (France), Rudd Gullit (Netherlands) Clarence Seedorf (Noetherlands), Frank Rijkaard (Netherlands), Michael Essien (NIgeria), Tim Howard (USA), RONALDO Nazario de Lima (Brazil), Carlos Alberto (Brazil), Garrincha (Brazil), Socrates (Brazil), Jairzinho (Brazil), Roberto Carlos (Brazil), Cafu (Brazil), Romario (Brazil) Rivaldo (Brazil), Marcelo (Brazil), Ronaldinho (Brazil), Robinho (Brazil), Adriano (Brazil), Dani Alves (Brazil), Dida (Brazil) Luis Fabiano (Brazil), Sulley Muntari (Ghana), Patrick Vierra (France), Rio Ferdinand (United Kingdom) Paul Parker (United Kingdom), Ashley Cole (United Kingdom). I'm a huge sports fan and just a brother from East Oakland, CA. Grambling Alum. See you in Knarrative soon!

25:26 In 1950 A Black Brazilian goalkeeper named Moacyr Barbosa was blamed for Brazil's loss in the World Cup final. He was a demonized pariah for the rest of his life..in fact a Black goalkeeper wasn't selected again for 56 years. Pele at 17yrs old in 1958 redeemed Brazil with 6 goals including 2 to win the final against Sweden..playing against grown men representing the Imperialist European nations... all with his AfroBrazilian Jinga/Malandragem Discipline , Creativity and Courage at a time the game was more akin to rugby...in a very real way he redeemed the Black Male image around the football playing world which at the time was the whole world excluding perhaps North America.....
