I realized after most of my fish were floating in the water what she was doing. I ran back as she threw another one in, so I shoved her ass into the lake. Cops were called. Cops came. Cops laughed at her. Cops left. I was sad I lost the fish, but it was well worth the memory. The look on her face when the cop said "you were both wrong. I can arrest you both, or we can drop it." She looked petrified and decided to drop it. 😂😂😂

She even tried to snatch my rod out of my hands to break it. I'm not a cop caller, and I wasn't about to let her keep on her rampage of destruction of my property. I did what I had to do. She ran home and called the cops and then showed back up 10 minutes later, still hooting and hollering about how taking fish is wrong until the cops showed up. The cop even said she was out of control and I should've called them. This was in the late 90s. I had a bunch of fishing gear. She was trying to take my stuff. I told the cop she was prohibiting me from gathering my stuff and leaving and both the cops said, we'll you had to do something. I defended myself and my property and in FL you have stand your ground laws. I was actually 100% in the right, and the cops knew that. So, no, friend, I was not "part of the problem."

People own or have access to boats and structures but not water. I get the other side too because they are paying a fee somewhere for the privilege to park their boat and access property exclusive from the general public. Because they’re paying for some exclusivity, they don’t want to have to police their own property. You guys were great. Respectful while asserting your own water rights. Unfortunately there are many bad apples that abuse what they can do, or are casing boats for property theft reasons. Just keep on keepin on. Continue to stand up for yourselves while it repectful. Really enjoy your videos. We have a dock (fairly small) on a lake in British Columbia and are avid anglers. Although it's not nearly as crowded as Florida, we frequently have fishermen at our dock as it's near a creek and is excellent fishing. The vast majority of fishermen are great, respectful and friendly. Occasionally though, we have folks bang into our dock (numerous times), use our dock to tie up to and even fish off our dock. Sometimes we'll even have families exit their boat, use our dock like it's theirs and fish from our yard. It's mind boggling that someone would feel okay doing this. Others drink and throw their empties into the water, have their cigarette smoke drift right into us (as we're feet away) or curse a lot with my young kids there. I've had to pull my kids out of the water from swimming as guys cast within feet of where they are swimming. So, like most things in life, it really comes down to respect. Any fisherman is more than welcome near our dock to fish as long as they are respectful. You guys are respectful and this "Karen" is unnecessarily bringing a little downer to the day. Who knows, maybe she's had a bad experience before and that's why she was on you. As fishermen, we almost need to be extra kind and respectful to make up for the few who aren't. Keep on fishing!

Ty, this is the same fishing session where you caught the 100 lb Grouper. You are a master of getting 2 to 3 videos from the same fishing session.

First off I'd like to say that I'm an avid fisherman myself, and I agree that no one owns the water. That being said, the whole reason that you're able to fish underneath that dock and catch big fish is that somebody else paid good money to build a structure and maintain the structure. I used to have a similar attitude and response to property owners. However after fishing all my life and having family members who have actually built houses and structures on the water so that they could launch their kayaks and other boats, the worst offenders to damaging their property are fishermen. I have actually seen with my eyes fisherman park their boats at one of my family members dock as my family member tries to put his kayak in the water to go fishing himself, and their response, "You don't own the water, and I've fished here all my life". But the whole reason they're fishing under his dock is because they fish structure, and he created the structure for more fish to inhabit. No I'm not saying that you block somebody's dock but I'm just telling you that there are fishermen out there who cause property owners to worry about fishermen, and they aren't as careful as you not to damage their property. But I have also met fisherman who get off of their boat and stand on a dock and dump their trash and smoke weed and everything else because they feel like whoever built the duck is rich and tough s***. But nonetheless you have created a great channel and you've caught some very nice fish. I just simply would ask that you take a moment to think about the fact that you're fishing something you didn't create that now holds the very nice fish that you catch. From looking at the previous comments, I'm sure I'll take some heat for what I just said, to that I would just say, you don't own my words bro.
@OfficialFedHater3 жыл бұрын
They own the dock yes, and if someone damages it, then they'll need to pay for the damage. But yeah, you don't own the water. If you can't handle people fishing it, then don't build it or live there. It's like moving next door to a pig farm and complaining about the smell.

If all you yankees stayed up north and didnt ruin our canals with your docks and condos we wouldnt have these issues. Ya'll need to build up in New York and Jersey and Massachusetts and whatever other Yankee state ya'all come from and stop over developing our beautiful waterways. It gets me right ornery when these Yankees try and tell us locals our place on the waters. We dont wanna touch your dock or touch your boats , we just want OUR fish that we was born n raised to enjoy and not deal with ya'll yankees infiltrating our precious waters and fish 🐟 !!
@jimbellamo10592 жыл бұрын
So what you are saying is that those fish now belong to the guy that built the dock, because my guess is he just built the dock for his boat not HIS fish that is a rediculous argument if they did something wrong that is a whole different situation but honestly they had absolutely every right and I would have never left. And been a whole lot less civil about it.

“Would you please tell where I CAN fish”? “Why is it ok there, and not here? It’s the same water”! I love it when people put gates across a navigable waterway. That doesn’t fly in Montana, but they get away with it in Louisiana.

I’ve had a few run ins with people like that, I own some property in a small private lake that I’ve had people call game wardens, scream and cuss when I’m fishing close to their docks and everything else. I’ve even had to prove I owned property there because people thought I was there illegally. Too much time is a light way to put it lol.

Who the hell would harass someone while they're hunting? Next level stupid. And it's illegal to harass hunters and fishermen. I'd love to see the cops say something to people like that, but they're often not too smart, either, so they'd most likely only add to the problem. Hey, plenty of dirt out there while hunting. Taking care of the problem yourself would be better. 😂

People's boats get scratched up from anglers that don't care. They're the ones making it harder for everyone else. If I had a 150 thousand dollar boat, I'd get upset if it got scratched up by someone's carelessness. I can see both sides to this argument that has been going on since we've had boat slips. (They also happen to be one of my favorite places to fish too)

*KARENS SEEM TO BE EVERYWHERE THESE DAYS! I don’t know why, but it seems that Karens have infiltrated all areas of society and are getting worse in recent years. Karens seem to specifically go after fishermen as they somehow think that they own the water and have the power to enforce fishing laws.*

Not generally a good route to take, I would always encourage everyone to be as non confrontational as possible and while sure on paper not responding or acknowledge someone is pretty non confrontational, its 100% going to piss people off when they are already upset with whatever it is you are doing. So i would try to level with them and relate to them and be clear that whatever it is you're doing is not illegal, if they insist on harassing you more then either encourage them to call the police or just do it yourself and get the police down. Generally the line of action is one of the best ways to save everyone stress with yelling matches and the "i am right!" "No i am right!" arguments that tend to happen in a circle when these things happen. In fact i would honestly even encourage you the fisher to call the police because most of these karen dumbass will call 911 for something clearly non emergency so at least then you have the decency to call your local police department directly and make a non emergency call.
