I’m a paediatric emergency room nurse and there is no scarier phrase from a parent than “she was fine until she suddenly crashed.” Children, more so than adults, are able to physically compensate for shock (the physiologic state that can happen in sepsis, massive blood loss, etc, not the emotional one) extremely well. Their vital signs will stay normal and they will look at least mostly okay until they are literally ding dong ditching the grim reaper. If it wasn’t obvious by the ICU admission Anythm was VERY sick and likely had been for a long time. Also urosepsis (when an infection starts as a UTI and spreads to the blood) is really really rare in children. It’s mostly seen in neglectful nursing homes for the elderly. If she was gonna be transferred to the children’s hospital in Dallas I know of, I wish she had been, cause they would not have played about getting her removed from that home. That’s clear cut child abuse in my mind.

My sister had an outdoor wedding. What we didn't know when we picked the venue and date was there was going to be a historical battle reenactment across the street from the bed and breakfast it was at at the same time. 😂 My sister’s now BIL went across to the street to ask them to pause their event for the half hour it would take for the outdoor part of the wedding. They took it one step further and gave a 21 gun salute after the pastor announced they were married. 😂 so there’s pictures from the wedding of a bunch of random dudes in Union soldier uniforms firing their rifles in the air. Side note: Those “worms” those crunchy moms find in their kids’ poop after their bullshit detox are actually bits of intestinal lining that is being stripped by their dangerous unregulated products. It’s terrible and they’re causing long term medical issues by killing off the healthy gut bacteria and stripping the intestinal lining that help them absorb nutrients from their food.

@valerielevasseur86742 ай бұрын
@ameliasouder7914 It's fair to start orienting yourself to a topic with Wikipedia, so long as it's only that. From there, if you have access, peer reviewed articles which you can find through Google Scholar (not regular Google!) are best. Most are paywalled, but not all, and even those whose full text you can't access will give you the abstract, which is a short summary of the article's question, argument and methodology. Depending on the topic, there might be respected organizations that put out reports on their areas of focus, and while they aren't peer reviewed prior to publication, you can gradually get a sense of how experts view the organization in general, and how they've talked about specific items after the fact.

The incident with Anthem is horrendous. Imagine saying “they don’t know what caused it or why it happened” when it was your neglect that led to an untreated UTI. Her audacity is astounding.
@hawkeyescoffee63992 ай бұрын
Especially in light of the poop story, which suggests the babies probably get left in filthy diapers for hours upon hours. How is your baby even getting the chance to dig out her poop?! I don't have kids, but I do have nephews & nieces, and when they were babies, you could tell when they pooped immediately 99% of the time...then you change them, you don't leave them sitting in it (idk how anyone can ignore the smell for a start...well, I guess if you aren't actually spending time with your baby then it would be quite easy). It is especially bad for little girls to just leave them in it as it can cause ....💥UTIs💥! Other things that can cause UTIs is wiping wrong, so if the older kids have been changing the baby and don't know to wipe from front to back, then that too could result in a raging UTI that would turn into a kidney infection & sepsis. The baby must have been so ill for a few days before she got taken to the hospital with sepsis, it doesn't develop in a few hours. She would have been screaming in pain from a kidney infection for hours, maybe even a couple of days! How do you ignore that in and just go out to dinner. Thank goodness for the baby's grandmother, because I highly doubt Karissa would have taken her without being pushed. Of course, neglected babies learn there is no point in crying, so perhaps she wasn't crying in pain because she had learned there was no point. Those poor kids. She clearly has severe mental health issues (I fear another Lori Vallow Daybell situation, but minimum the kids will be messed up), but shame on her husband for not encouraging her to get the help she needs, and stepping up with the kids.

They still continue to have children had four more. The last four, seen their mother, most of the time bedridden. After she had my mom, she was completely bedridden. Her mother passed when she was small child. Then unfortunately her father passed only a few months later. Her older sister raised her. All my aunts and uncles, said that they will not have lots of kids. Besides her mother being sickly, they struggled a lot financially. So my grandfather was always working. My grandmother was sick most of the time. Is brothers and sisters they basically had to take care of each other. They didn't want to do that to their children. It was common back in the day for western people to have a lot of children. 12 is a lot. What is most common was 6 or 7. Now because western people millennials aren't having children it means we have an aging population so this means when you are elderly there won't be enough young people to run the country and take care of our elderly including in hospitals. Our countries are facing a severe crisis in the next 30 years but it's effects will be seen sooner, we are starting to see it now a decline and short staff in medical but it will be all industries soon. They will CONSTANTLY post that their kids are sick, under the weather, etc and then they will absolutely swear their kids are never sick. I said something to my sister once when she said her kids were sick yet again, something like "weren't they just sick last week?" And she's like "No.... They never hardly get sick!!" When in reality, they are sick nearly every 4-6 weeks. The delusion is actually amazing.

my mum had an emergency cesarean with me, a semi emergency cesarean with my sister was breach and an elective cesarean with my last sibling bc she had severe placenta previa... she bled out internally, almost to death before having a total hysterectomy and a blood transfusion of about 4-5 pints of blood before the hysterectomy. If medical professionals werent involved in her final birth, i would've lost my mum at 11- almost 12 years old... im eternally grateful for the life saving procedures that were done for my mum, at 25, she truly is one of my best friends and could literally not imagine life without her. If you are a mother who has to reply upon these medical procedures for the safety of you and your baby, dont listen to these women when they try to make you feel bad, you are not less of a mother for delivering them with medical intervention... i see you, i hear you and 100% believe in your ability to be good parents!! Also, as someone with juvenile diagnosed lupus (which is often more active than lupus that has its onset in adulthood) i have been advised against falling pregnant bc it could kill me! I also have PMDD which me makes me incredibly sensitive to my own hormones during my cycle. It would not only be dangerous to fall pregnant, the experience could literally kill me bc of my lupus. Autoimmune disease for many of us will not make pregnancy easier, it could have fatal side effects for both mother a d baby. This woman is spreading extremely dangerous misinformation. We knew when she had one because the cries were different and NONSTOP. We could suspect one was developing based on visuals and try to intervene but when that crying started we knew it was too late. She went to the ER the first few times because it was scary how much she would cry. Doctors eventually walked us through what to do when she had one and we had to wait till the next day to get her in for a visit at the primary. Hers were nowhere close to what that poor child had so I cannot imagine the amount of crying she was doing beforehand. Honestly horrific to think about.

I didn't ask for the extra things, although appreciated. I am just trying to stop being so down, not get into the church again or indoctrinate anyone. Just fyi…Jews don’t actively seek converts, but we do welcome them. It’s not as easy as evangelicals where you just accept a doctrine and you’re suddenly Jewish, but if someone genuinely wants to be Jewish, they are welcome to do so if they go through a sponsoring rabbi and are approved by the “court”/beit din (which everyone who completes the requirements is unless there’s a crazy problem).
@Parrot58842 ай бұрын
Adding to your point: I heard from a Hasidic orthodox Jew that her community actually discourages conversion because non-Jews need to follow fewer commandments than Jews. Being officially Jewish is considered more of a risk to your obedience to god (the more rules there are, the more likely you are to accidentally break one) than being non-Jewish, which is quite opposite to the Christian view on conversion.
@Catglittercrafts2 ай бұрын
This was interesting. Conversion requirements To convert to Judaism, a candidate must accept Jewish commandments, even if they don't commit to keeping them. Other requirements include being circumcised (if male) and immersing in a mikveh before a kosher beth din. Jewish atheism 66% of Jews say that it's not necessary to believe in God to be Jewish. About 20% of Israeli Jews don't believe in a deity, and 15% don't observe religious practices. Atheist rabbis The Central Conference of American Rabbis doesn't have bylaws that allow them to defrock rabbis who don't believe in God. Study period The time it takes to study for conversion can range from six months to a year

Every time I meet an anti-vaxer that says their non Vax kids are healthier I introduce them to my dad. My dad didn't receive any vaccinations out of neglect and he contracted scarlet fever- he had yellow teeth because the medication ruined his enamel and got dentures at 45, salmonella, measles, pneumonia, has weak bones, asthma and is the only one in our family with a hereditary immune disease. Some of his illnesses could have been avoided via vaccines. But the more poignant point is, vaccines can't prevent against hereditary disease(looking back through family histort we think we can figure out people in the past that may have had the same immune disease but never had an official diagnosis because science just wasnt there back then). So many people don't realize your immunity is hereditary. Vaccines can help, but they can't change what's coming down the line via genes. So it's not the vaccines causing ear infections or tonsillitis or high bp, it's genetics babe.

41:00 a reason why some people who are pregnant might experience a dramatic decrease in conditions like Lupus or MS is because during pregnancy the immune system is compromised and therefore renders one temporarily immunosuppressed. The two aforementioned conditions are autoimmune based conditions which are usually treated with corticosteroids or artificial antibodies to decrease or deactivate parts of the immune system.

So excited to watch this while I work out 🤣 Also, best aspect of a wedding I’ve been to: good music with fun people. A dance floor with people legitimately having fun and dancing like no one is watching is the BEST.

Also, I am suuuuuuper jealous of your birth story. You and my sister are unicorns lol. She got to the hospital, got into a bed, pushed twice and my nephew was here…. 😩 I was traumatized lol. My first birth….i don’t share with pregnant people or people trying lol. Just so I don’t scare them 🤣 but at least I was prepared for my second. And that one wasn’t easy, but at least I knew what to expect. My second was also a csection and he was breech, I tell everyone he came into this world ass first 🤣 his personality is all cannon ball, so it makes sense.

Religious psychosis is definitely real. There's no way the women of biblical times didn't get as much help as then available to have safe childbirth. They had midwives and even doctors. Her "let God take me" attitude is highly disturbing.

OMG the anthem UTI story, how scary. She said the doctors don’t know why it happened but from 16-18 I had a string of kidney infections cuz I’d get a UTI then bladder infection but not a single symptom of those so it ran into my kidneys & I was hospitalized for 1-2wks at times. EXTREMELY sick!! I can’t imagine being a baby fighting that off much less my mom ignoring every sign, making it far worse/causing it by leaving me in soggy diapers.🤢 truly terrifying, they could’ve died. I can’t believe CPS hasn’t gotten involved more w/ that family & I don’t think they’re always a great solution but a mom who’s baby is in the hospital who’s in the waiting room thinking about sacrificing her child for God’s will is frightening. Unacceptable! It seems like she’s dissociated from everything around her. The kids, the chaos, their needs, her medical needs, the real world & is stuck in her head, detached in her own head with her distorted version of God. Makes me wonder what the proper psychological intervention could do for not just her but ALL these innocent children!!

It always amazes me that CPS doesn't get involved more often with families vloggers

They don't have enough time for the offline ones, but I agree with you. If they're gonna put that out there for all to see, then they'll be easy to catch!

Unfortunately, what all of us recognize as "abuse" or "neglect" is a different standard than CPS. They have to let a lot of things go. In my state, hitting your kid is okay, as long as it doesn't leave a mark, for example. Other similar rules. And there are plenty of people for them to deal with that are doing really horrific things. While these parents are awful, it probably doesn't reach CPS standards, which is why they keep getting off. (Source: my younger bro is a CPS evaluator.)

The number of kids a family has is between the parents. As long as the kids are loved and cared for, that’s what I care about. My Dad’s family had 11 kids.

I had a friend get married in Puerto Vallarta and she had fireworks for her first dance and a churro and taco cart at midnight for a second dinner snack. I wrote that down for my wedding 😂

I grew up in a church where the quiverfull doctrine was preached. I was told at the age of 8 that taking birth control was similar to saying God isn't real, because if you believed that God was real you would trust that he wouldn't give you more children than you could handle. However, it wasn't uncommon for newlyweds (who got married at 18-20 years old) to have a baby before they had their first wedding anniversary and I could see how stressed out they were. The other issue with these large families is that the oldest girls are turned into mini moms around the age of 10 and expected to babysit their younger siblings, cook, clean and even in some cases punish their siblings. These girls weren't allowed to be kids because they had so much responsibility. So many of my friends were completely stressed out and when they were able to hang out at my house they would just want to sleep. I can't understand why these groups don't accept medical help. If you believe that God created everything why wouldn't you take advantage of the medical advancements that God made?!? Doesn't that show that you don't actually trust God and respect all the work that he has done? Most of the women at my church at least had a midwife for their home births. The biggest reason they gave for not going to the hospital was because of modesty, many of the women believed that only your husband could see certain places unless you were in serious condition and apparently childbirth didn't count. So, the midwife would direct the husband, others made an exception for the midwife, but didn't have any exams or procedures that would require a doctor (even a female one) to see or touch them "inappropriately". Thankfully I didn't get married while I was still a Christian and me and my husband are more than happy to accept any medical treatments that are necessary and we are equals.
