Are you ready to totally change your life course? Maybe you're sick of the politics and US rat race. If so you're in the right place.
For those of you who follow my channel you already know I plan on living throughout the world. To do so I've been on a journey traveling and buying international properties. I learn the customs of the locals, the cost of living, and determine if the country I am visiting feels like home.
So far I've publicly shared that the USA, Colombia, and Italy are on the list. But After visiting this magical country in 2019, home to over 200M people, and some of the best soccer players on the planet, I've found country #4.
Here on ENTP LIFE we mostly talk about real estate and business, but in this series we're talking about Brazil. I am searching for my next property and taking you along for the ride. Maybe by the end of it all I will motivate some of you to uproot your life and move to this country that has managed to truly fuse cultures and people. This is a multi episode series that will offer travel tips, ideas on places to visit, and how you could successfully break from the comfort that home provides and live abroad.
If you're excited about this journey please like, subscribe, and share this with someone you know is ready to abandon the comfort of the USA.

Yes your money will go much further and the people are generally good to you. Cost of living is easily 30-50% of what life will cost you in the USA. Often times much less than that if you are from a bigger city in the States. As mentioned in the video. $1200/month and you're doing fine. Bump it up to $5000 and you're living really good.

@nancyleal2529
@nancyleal2529 3 жыл бұрын
@@BBAERSTANCE1, no, it's because our currency is very devalued compared to the dollar and Euro. There are many rich and middle class people here in Brazil, too. Probably, you have the impression that there are "only poor people" in Latin America because of the poor immigrants that search a better life in the US, illusioned by American movies and the big exposure of the US in their media. Immigrants always dream that they can get things quicker and easier out of their countries. Here jobs that do not require education have low salaries because there are many people available to do them. We had the biggest and longest slavery in the Americas during the Portuguese colonization and poor people from neighboring countries etc. are always arriving. So, most immigrants from Brazil are these people with low salaries. Besides, automobiles and electronics are much more expensive here. The middle class, on the contrary, because of the big social differences, has a better life than in many countries because they can buy cheaper properties (cheaper labor), can pay people to clean their homes etc. They are not the type of immigrants that you'll see in the US, a minority.

Perm job. I’m a high school English literature and language teacher and have branched out into international schools. Definitely not $120k per year haha but one of the biggest draws is the ‘package’ as a whole: salary that matches the one in your home country but with a relocation allowance, accommodation, return annual flights and baggage paid for, top healthcare, dental insurance, company savings and pensions schemes and daily breakfast and lunch included. This, along with living in one of the coolest and most interesting cities in the world, makes the package as a whole an opportunity you can’t refuse.

Definitley going to show these videos of yours to my students. I work as a portuguese teacher and I frequently have to hear the same thing over and over again "what about crime in Brazil" and I am like "what about it?", mostly from students living in Chicago, London, Paris. My uncles were violently robbed as soon as they left the airport in Barcelona and when I was in Viena, Austria I was being followed by someone and had to enter a shop and wait until the son a bitch left. Unfortunately or fortunately, we brazilians don't hide our crime and violence problems, we try to hide our racism but it's 2021 and that can't last too long. But Europe especially never, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER shows their downsides. I lived in Europe for 2 years and omg, poverty there is bad in some areas and people living in worse conditions than in the favelas of Brazil because at least the favelas now have a community sense and people help each other there and it's little by little developing in a way and not to mention that politicians try to do something there because those people vote as well and who doesn't want votes? But in Europe, the poor and miserable ones are like invisible. European media only shows their beautiful castles, architecture but never what happens outside of those boring squares where the churches and museums are.

I fvcking love this episode! As an AA(poc) with wanderlust who lived in Mexico last year I had family members fearful of the skewed perception of crime and racism in cities such as Mexico City -fueled by colonizer fear media. My counter argument every time they thought they were thoughtfully airing legitimate concern was 1) I am a black American, the levels of hate, racism, discrimination, and danger I've faced in the US is orders of magnitude more oppressive and caustic; facts. 2) Crime rates: I've lived in big US cities my whole life Chicago, LA, NYC, Detroit (not to mention those abroad), crime in the big US cities eclipses crime in Ciudad de Mexico insofar as armed robbery, grand larceny, and murder. While living in the cities I visited in Mexico I slept with doors and windows open or unlocked. The sense of community and my neighbors were legit af, not hateful, selfish, exclusionary, and fearmongering. Dont get me wrong, I always exercised prudent judgment and have keen street sense, but my blood pressure went down not up living in Mexico, facts. I saved up so I could move back permanently to Mexico for this year, but while there everyone I befriended kept telling me, "You have to visit Brazil" "When you come back, we are going to take a trip to Brazil". I started thinking, 'I should wait on getting a place in Mexico and visit Brazil because I may actually want to move to Sao Paulo or Rio etc instead'. This episode has really helped me insofar as conducting due diligence for the Brazil idea. Gracias!

The USA is a very good country as you said when it comes to opportunity. If you are willing to work hard and learn you will always have work and options. The only downside that I have with the USA is a lack of unity in the people and over emphasis on work. We need to do better as a nation to be one people and to do more to focus on living life. @@evelynbfrancisco not true. What is the average brazilian income and what is the average american income...systems matter, GDP matters, government matters, education matters, access to education matters, parental education matters, socioeconomic at birth matters, market size matters. What is the probability of a poor person born to a single mom with only a highschool education in the worst favelas probability of making $10,000/ a month vs the child of an educated couple in Leblon? The average brazilian income is $9000 a year. That's not good in a global economy or in Brazil. Can you survive...yes but that's about it. Brazil has alot of unrealized potential and that potential can be realized with proper leadership and system.

About this video, in particularly, i think the easy way is do what you do, leave the USA and come to Brazil. The hard way is exactly the opposite. Be part of a minority in Brazil is a hard thing. I'm glad to have a content like that to have a new perspective and to learn more. I can't wait to see more of you incursion on my country. And to finish, just let me say that. Our country is so much big, like USA. The people of rhe north is totally different of the people of the south. I am planning to buy a studio apartment in Sao Paulo and invest in real state. I live in Austin, Texas and the home prices are skyrocketing here. With $60K you can buy an studio apartment in Sao Paulo, rent and make good money. With $60K in Austin you can't buy anything. The houses here cost around $400K and property taxes are crazy about $9-10K per year. Even in the outskirts the houses cost at least $300K. If you buy an apartment in Sao Paulo you won't pay more than $500 in property tax a year.

@@Karl__Pierre a studio in Moema or Brooklin, for example you can buy for that price but it takes 2-3 years to complete the construction. You can rent it for at least 2 thousand reais a month. The HOA (condominio) will be around 300 reais per month because the apartment is small, about 30meters.

@@evelinlisboa1661 ok I see. In my opinion the rent is too low. I try to acheive 1% per month. For example I have a house in NY I paid $150,000 and collect $2000/month also with Brazil currency it fluctuates alot. I only say this to say although the price is higher you will make a bigger return in the USA even on inexpensive properties or properties with a mortgage. I heard it's difficult to secure a mortgage in Brazil.

Just add some to the topic of what to do in Brazil for money. Brazil does not produce enough highly technical workers such in web design, cybersecurity, programming among other technological and science-driven fields of expertise. This could be open to a person with such a backgrounds.

It's so true what you said about crime. If you are putting yourself in situations in which you are more susceptible to crime, you will probably experience it. If I went to Brazil and was really into the night scene, going to clubs and parties every weekend, exploring neighborhoods alone without doing research as to what is safe and what is not, getting involved with drugs and alcohol...then there's pretty much a 100% chance I would put myself in danger vs if I were to stay in safe neighborhoods and stay out of the heavy drug/alcohol/party scene. It's pretty much about using common sense. You're exactly right. It's like when I go into Oakland and San Francisco...are there places I should avoid? ABSOLUTELY! But have I experienced crime in either place- no. Because I don't go into dangerous areas. Not to say that it will never happen, but if you use simple common sense, you lessen your chances.
@Karl__Pierre
@Karl__Pierre 3 жыл бұрын
Exactly that. In Brazil there is just such a wealth gap that there are many areas where there's limited opportunity but the same rules apply. Stay off the scene and you'll reduce your probability of getting robbed or hurt by a significant factor. Thanks for sharing. Are you Brazilian?

@@Karl__Pierre That's so sweet of you to offer, I don't think I will be in Brazil this year, possibly but i'm not sure if I will be able to. I saw your website and I really like the freedom you have to be able to travel anywhere. I really want that for myself. I am so grateful to be born in America but just because I was born here doesn't mean I have to stay, you know what I mean! I think the biggest thing prompting my choice to want to leave the US is exploring different cultures as well as architecture. I noticed that the US is very spaced out, especially in the suburbs. I like the architecture and city designs of other countries tries...Also, although I only speak English, I am fascinated with other languages, particularly Korean, Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese. So I think a combination of all those things. I don't have a desire to visit every country, only the ones that capture my interest. Omg this was so long of a message ahhahaahha

the part about children being murdered at school is just a heart wrenching reality in America, my son will start high school within the next year and I am petrified! I am considering Canada or Portugal for a safer, family friendly, less gun culture, more or less peaceful, and healthier food, my stress level can not survive in America, stress is a killer.

The dichotomy of the two opinions regarding credit was interesting.
@Karl__Pierre
@Karl__Pierre 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. This is a debate I have regularly and I think it comes down to personal experience with debt. I was raised with the same thinking so throughout college, then tried to get a business loan and had no credit. Realized my parents were wrong and had their own hardships with personal credit. So it's important for me to sound off on the importance of credit and how to properly use it.
