I remember listening to this song as a teenager and thinking "that's so stupid. If a man can't produce anything then what IS worth?" Now, almost ten years later, after battling depression, existential crises and incurable illness, the latter leaving me an invalid for almost two years, I have finally come to understand this song's real message. Heaven values you for you, even when nobody else will. Whether you believe in God or not, seeing yourself as worthwhile and yours as a life worth living regardless of what others or society thinks is critical. If more people truly understood that, I suspect the world would be a much more wholesome place. Wow. Reading this, I just realized, I sound exactly like my parents. Go figure.

This song really opens my eyes. Sometimes if you look at yourself in the world's eyes you barely see your worth or reason. But having to look at your life through heavens eyes will make you realise that you have been looking at yourself the wrong way. There will people who will truly see and appreciate your worth and if they don't see it know that God does. Remember: to one lost sheep a shepherd is greater than the richest king.

I had just finished watching this movie a few days ago, and I'm a Wiccan, but this is a really good movie, and I support every notion this song has. I loved it, and I learned more about my fellow Christian, Catholic, Hebrew (etc.) brothers and sisters. We are all worth so much, and we make such a difference, no matter how small we seem. I love this song because of it's catchy tune and it's uplifting message.
@wizkidgamer99428 жыл бұрын
You know, I'm a Catholic, and something I REAALLY admire about pagans is that they found something to sustain them from the darkness, or rather, the uncaring nature, of the universe Sure, the old gods are as likely to smite you as they are to help, but still that's SOMETHING.That's STILL a light, maybe not a nice one, but it's still something to hold onto as the darkness closes in all around you. the only thing is, that, despite all your trying, in the end they always go the the Underworld. Gennema. Hades. Whatever you feel like calling the Land Of The Dead( I try to shy away from calling it Hell Hell is damnation, whereas something like Asphodel is where mortals who have lived lives of no consequence go. the ONLY way to the Light, the true light, a light that we call light because that's the only thing our mortal minds can comprehend it as, is through Jesus, Emmanuel, the King of Glory who will come to reclaim what it is His. Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm just laying out my beliefs and admiration for other cultures as well. If what I say touches you, fine, that's great. if not, that's okay, it's your choice to listen to me. Shalom, and Blessed be!

Though I feel it is possible to be happy (as well as kind, considerate etc) and successful without the help of God or anything? This is only from my personal perspective, as I have a secure job which I am happy in and outside of it I enjoy the little things as well as the big. I am also - I guess you could say - a fairly neutral person (or calm if that is a better word for it?), there is never really anything that makes me feel down in the dumps or ruins the rest of my day. I might get momentarily annoyed or something but then those feelings are gone. This may be because of my forgiving nature. Yes, people have asked me, "But what if something really bad does happen?". So what if something does? I have never felt totally affected by anything and I guess I'm pretty strong and independent - for example, a grandparent passing away when I was sixteen, I didn't cry or feel sad. I just thought, 'no more going down to see her'. I guess I understand that these things happen. This isn't to say I haven't got a heart - I care about people A LOT. But things just don't affect me the way they do other people. All I'm saying is, personally I feel you can do things without the seeing through the eyes of God. You can be good and helpful and kind and see the world in the best way without being a Christian. Though don't take this the wrong way, I have nothing against Christians! Some of my family are religious. After all, what is the world without religion?

My FAVVV part is when he says “ so how can you see what your life is worth or where your value lies you can never see through the eyes of man” so many of us try to get the love of man when our love as humans is fake the only real love is the love of God to us and so many people get carried away by others just to impress them because they never see their life’s thru God and never find their value 0:55

Well it may not mention God specifically, but God is easily implied. By saying "through Heaven's eyes", you could just as easily be saying "through God's eyes". You know, since God is in Heaven after all. note: just making a statement here

dalton murphy Jesus loves you!! Have a blessed day give your life to him? Turn to him I did? Now am a child of God I was just baptized on September 10 2017. . and now there was another baptism yesterday now his a child of God too. Turn to God he will free you! Of your sins don’t wait any longer because time is running out on us we need to let others know? About his good news of Jesus. Our savior. He loves us all in wants us closer to him. Go to a church that’s call church of Christ. In hear his word. Romans 10:17 so faith comes from hearing that is hearing the good news about Christ. Mark 16:16 anyone who believes and is baptized will be save. Act 2:38. Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Act 8:37 and Philip said if you believe with all your heart, you may. And he answered and said I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. John 3:5 I assure you no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and the spirit.

Matt 1:9 Joseph her fiancé was a good man and did not want to disgrace her publicly so he decided to break the engagement quietly 1:20 As he considered this an angel of the lord appeared to him in a dream, Joseph son of David,” the angel said do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife for the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. 21. @Jessica Danvers I think you may be missing the point. This song is for everyone. Just the sheer number of non-religious people posting here should show that. Anyways...I'm a Christian and I consider people of the Jewish faith to be my brothers and sisters as I do my fellow Christians. We're all God's people, just the same. =) In fact, that should really go for everyone. Humans are all pretty much the same, when you get down to the things that actually matter...and you know, that's exactly what this song is trying to say! No human is better or worse then the other, and only God is truly great. Don't get me wrong, I understand that the gross mistreatment of the Jewish people has been a reoccurring failure of society for far too long- I'm part German Jew myself -but its important to remember that those people did what they did because they DIDN'T understand or believe in concepts of basic human decency like this song is trying to teach. If anything, it's wonderful that it brings so many different people together. =)

🎵A ssingle thread in a tapestry Though its color brightly shine Can never see its purpose In the pattern of the grand design And the stone that sits on the very top Of the mountains mighty face Does it think it's more important Than the stones that form the baaaaase? So how can you see what your life is worth Or where your value lies? You can never see through the eyes of man You must look at your life Look at your life through heaven's eyes .................La-lai-lai-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai-lai Lai-le-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai La-lai-lai-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai-lai Lai-le-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai La-lai-lai-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai-lai A lake of gold in the desert sand Is less than a cool fresh spring And to one lost sheep, a shepherd boy Is greater than the richest kiiing If a man loses everything he owns Has he truly lost his worth? Or is it the beginning Of a new and brighter biiiiiirth? So how do you measure the worth of a man In wealth or strength or size? In how much he gained or how much he gave? The answer will come The answer will come to him who triess To look at his life through heaven's eeeyes And that's why we share all we have with you Though there's little to be found When all you've got is nothing There's a lot to go aroooouund No life can escape being blown about By the winds of change and chance And though you never know all the steps (dance with me) You must learn to join the dance You must learn to join the daaaance6 Lai-le-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai La-lai-lai-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai-lai Lai-le-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai La-lai-lai-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai-lai Lai-le-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai La-lai-lai-lai-lai-lee-lai-lai Lai-lai-lai-lai-lai-lai So how do you judge what a man is worth By what he builds or buys? You can never see with your eyes on earth Look through heaven's eeeeyes Look at your life Look at your life Look at your life through heaven's eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyes🎵
