This is the newest mystery anime to come out of Summer 2023 along with Jujutsu Kaisen, Bleach, Zom 100, Mushoku Tensei, etc. I think it's a good show so I made a review, not a reaction, of it. This video contains scenes from episodes 1, 2, 3, and 4. But not episode 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 yet as they haven't been released. Yes, this is the anime with the headless girl.

This is actually a good one. At first I really didn't expect anything from it besides the fact that the animations didn't look that bad, diving deeper in the story made me fall in love with it. All this mysterious stuff and that detective mindset reminds me of In/Spectre. I really like this one so far, also I really enjoy that dark atmosphere.

So glad it catches notice little by little. Mystery aspect is definitely only there for flavor, the real catch is characters, and they are so damn cool. Style of Aya and Tsugaru banter is reminiscent of rakugo, Japanese scenic comedy and theater and it's so stylish, I can't. Such a pleasure to listen to.

If you were talking about this, it's nothing surprising to be able to guess who's the culprit, unless he could also explain what weapon have been used, when and how the crime was executed, the motive of the culprit, not to forget the 7 things that Aya found strange.

I like this anime so much and it pains me to see how underrated it is, I love tsugaru and rindo and shizuku too being such a funny trio and the latest ep was so fun to watch, when i tried to get my friend to watch it they just told me it was boring they didnt give it a another chance

Ngl, so far this is my favourite new anime of 2023. Tsugaru, Aya and Shizuku work so insanely well as a trio. Especially with both Tsugaru and Aya being half serious but mostly playfully silly, the fact they have a dead serious maid next to them who barely ever talks is such a perfect counter balance! I don't think I was ever this entertained by a character who's screen time is approximately 90% of standing in the background. And aside from the characters, the dialogue and voice acting definitely carries the other half of the show I think. Even with some episodes (Like 3 an 5) being basically just dialogue or exposition, I still found every second of it entertaining. And I think despite there being very little fight scenes, when they happen they feel earned, and therefor even more satisfying. Such an interesting show, I'm glad I gave it a try! (Also Tsugaru is Meiji Spike Spiegel to me, so that's another reason)

Oh, I am soooo damn proud that I found this anime "by mistake" (....if there was such a thing) and that's exactly what I said: HIDDEN GEM. Soooo damn good. The last hidden gem I found "by mistake" was Jujutsu Kaisen. Anyway, very good points made about it in the video .....the dialogue being poetry....pfff beautiful, and indeed the artistic liberties from the manga are so welcome + the animation during conversations or fights, very well done. It definitely has the element of surprise in the most subtle of ways. Oh, and loved your info on that sentence with the rap.

I just started watching this last night - based on your recommendation, and it really IS as good as you say. Well done, great characters - Tsuguru IS as hot as you say, lol - and a good mystery show. It reminds me of the Beast and the Witch (hope I have the title right) a mystery show with the main detective characters as supernatural creatures. Also very well done. Thanks for the rec!

As a fan of Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju, hearing Tsugaru do rakugo made me instantly nostalgic. Aside from the mystery aspect i really love the fantasy world building. Since the supernatural is known and slowly intergrating with humans or being outright purged. Idk, casually name dropping Dracula and in the same line saying he's dead. Lol. This series is a novel originally, the manga isn't the original source material. The character designs from the anime are closer to the novel character design than the manga character design

The series itself is very interesting, the only question that's bugging me till now is that shizuku hasei even human? As of now we don't have any info about her background, its just that she was a loyal maid of aya rindo, nothing more. Or I have just missed some parts where they explain who she is etirely. I mean she was with aya all along in the whole 900+ years of her life right? I haven't read the manga itself so pardon me😅 or maybe we can uncover some more mysteries about the characters in the upcoming episodes so... better to wait.😅
