Congrats Matt on the massive shoutout by Simon Lizotte on the Nick & Matt Show! About 50 mins in he talks about how helpful your MVP vids were for him, just like they are for anyone curious about MVP. Well done! Very much deserved. As for the Berg, I usually prefer throwing touchy upshots so not sure if it's for me. That said, this review is actually making me consider giving it a shot 👍

Berg allows you to have touch but with less risk. I was the same as you until I got one and realized how much easier it is to throw a touchy upshot with a disc that you don't have to be touchy with. You can use it for nice floaty shots or pound it hard through an area and not have to worry about either being far from the target. Love this disc.

As far as Glide goes, the Glitch is the Anti-Berg but it flies just as straight if not straighter.

My form must suck cuz I turn and burn that thing on backhand. It’s my go to step out scramble forehand though with limited range of motion.

Glad you were willing to step out of your comfort zone and give it a shot even though the Berg isn't MVP. I've been bagging one for just over the year and find it indispensable. I know for a fact it has shaved strokes off my game. So many different situations where it shines in one way or another.

The Berg is also available in K3 glow (its the tour series disc of Josef Berg)

I like the Berg but it feels like I have to power it so hard for it to go anywhere. I dont bag it but my son does. Cool thing is the sound when it lands. It gives such a big thud and does not move very far from its landing spot. Anti-Berg is Glitch for sure

Been bagging a K1 soft Berg for a year - amazing disc. Just so forgiving … if you throw it too hard, it may travel a meter or two further before dropping. Also have the glow Berg and a few K3’s, but the K1 soft all the way. Very impressed you’re throwing it over 60m. The anti-Berg … has to be MVP … flies and not drops … Glitch?

Thanks for the vid! Definitely the most controversial disc out there! Agree w/ djgood, et al. re: anti-Berg: Must be the Glitch - glides forever! Have overshot the basket lots (particularly downhill - ugh). Just trying out a K1 Berg. It's beautifully molded, like one would expect from Sweden! Drops like a rock. Would have to totally change my putting style if I used it for that. Am a Gyro advocate, as well. Mostly use the Axiom Proxy Plasma and am testing a stack of medium Electron Envys bc Proxys weren't offered in the putter pack from MVP...

Secretly the best berg is a beat up k3 hard. It’ll go dead straight backhand with zero risk of over torquing.

I bought a Berg at my local shop because they had their own store stamp on it and it looked cool. Love the hand feel of the disc but for me personally I don’t find it useful. Every throw I would use it on I’m more comfortable with my Zone or throwing putters.

Personally have 3 bergs in the bag, K2 (older runs of k1soft but they have poptop and much more OS) K1 Glow and K3. I tend to throw K1 and K3 of the tee when I want straight with reliabe fade shot or slightly drifting to the right shot respectively. K2 is the approach disc with its soft landings, K3 feels nice to run at the basket being more straight. Anti-berg has to be glitch, right? 😉

Also using the K1 Soft Berg.. my biggest issue is griplocking the sh*t out of it.. due to the fact that you need some power behind it I tend to grab it a bit harder - causing grip locks..need to get more used to it.. like putting in headwind with it

I would say if MVP ever releases the glitch in eclipse or max weight you will have your gyro Berg

Berg great for practicing if you have limited space as it doesn't fly far and holds the line you put it on.

Regarding there being no other disc like the Berg, there is the Innova Animal with flight numbers 2|1|0|1 which seems like it could be similar. They appear to be quite uncommon though, I've never thrown one and haven't seen anyone else do either. Innova probably has the biggest line up of low glide approach discs, I really wish MVP would try to make some as well.
