As a former tattooist, tattoos are synonymous with regret, they go hand in hand. Be very mindful with what you tattoo on your body because you are going to change a lot. A lot of these "influences" are influencing people with bad ideas. Also, if your tattooist doesn't want to tattoo your piece how you want it and tries to get you to change your mind, walk out and find another tattooist that will tattoo it how you want. You have to live with it on your body, not them.

I have many tattoos myself, so I'm not just some dude tossing out bullshit opinions here. That being said, I believe that "blacking-out" is a mental condition that occurs as a result of tattoo addiction. I believe that blacking out is the point that is reached after a person either runs out of ideas or space on their body. There is nothing left to do, but the mind craves more. Tattooing, like anything else, can also become an addition. So, imagine being an addict who can't get a fix. Blacking out is simply a tattoo addict's way of getting a fix after they've run out of space or ideas. Now, here's the real question.....Where do these people go from here? One day, Kat Von D is going to stare at herself in a mirror and realize that her ink journey is over. However, mentally, she might not be ready for her journey to be over. She will still be desiring more ink with no way of getting it. She'll be like an alcoholic who only has access to a photo of vodka. The scary part is that her "tattoo sobriety" or the "cold turkey" might also force her into a healthy mental state. But, it will be a healthy state that could come with tremendous regret over blacking out her skin. It is possible that she could realize that blacking out her skin was only done because of her addiction. Hopefully, this doesn't happen to her.
@lindseyb31810 ай бұрын
i think a big reason she is doing this is because she has recently converted to some religion and this is part of her "religious awakening"...boring.
@RumbleFish6910 ай бұрын
@lindseyb318 I don't think so. I know quite a few people who have found religion and leave tattoos as a reminder. Shit, I even know one guy who kept his branded devil pentagram after he "found" Jesus. I just think that it's an addiction. And, I don't understand the end goal here. Are these people just going to become black people? Because, that's basically as far as they can go. They can do their whole body, which will basically make black, then its over. That's fine, if that's what they want, but there is a point where it ends.
@brownrabbit6110 ай бұрын

I read about her conversion of Christianity and her move to Indiana.. She wanted something new and different and better for herself and her family, and all I could think of was how wonderful for her. She was excited about what was in front of her and what it meant for her husband and son. She also mentioned that she found some resistance and unkindness, or not unkindness but more distrust, from people in her new environment. That made me so sad because she should be met where she is. But I read recently that she has found her own unique way to belong in her new life and become a part of her new church family. She asked the town if they would help her plant acres of black tulips in the fields of her farmhouse. The tulips are extremely rare, she designed a beautiful garden for them and it's open for all the people of the town to come and wander and enjoy. She has also opened the gardens for tourists which is bringing much needed business to the people in her town, gas.stations, restaurants, stores,.and even some hotels and beds and breakfast. I wish her nothing but the best with her new life and her beautiful family.
