Kathy's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and her and Elvis were close friends right up until the end.
@blakjack30532 жыл бұрын
Yes she is! I met Kathy about 14 years or so ago, I believe she was living in Corona Ca with a woman who was my friend's mom. Anyway what happened was he asked me if I could go to Kathy's home to play guitar on a recording she wanted to do, a Pat Benatar cover I think, so I agreed to do it and played for Kathy, she really was so nice and she loved my guitar playing too! She actually showed me the pink Cadillac parked in her garage given her as a gift from Elvis, and she gave me an autographed copy of a book she wrote called Elvis and me.

If only everyone spoke so fondly and well of Elvis (those close to him). He was a great human being and I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to see him live in concert when I was 11 years old. About a year before he passed away. It's a moment in time I will never forget. The energy in the building and charisma he exuded was phenomenal to say the least. A once in a lifetime experience. I've been a huge fan since I was a little kid. My Mother was also a huge fan of Elvis. I miss him to this day and I always will. I listen to his music often. A piece of me also died that fateful day in 1977 when Elvis past away. We will never see the magnitude of his celebrity ever again in our lifetime. May he rest in peace.

Thank you Kathy, you are a fantastic singer. Elvis was right that "Crying over you" is a good song for you. Thank you also for your description of Elvis Presley as a second Peter Sellers . I am convinced that Elvis was a very good man and could only sing the way he did because he was extremely sensitive. It makes me very sad that many people around him only tried to profit from Elvis and turned on him as soon as they couldn't do that anymore. Love you from Amsterdam.

Kathy, thank you for the nice interview for us to view. The Concert on Apr 9, 1972 in the Hampton Roads Colisieum was the best concert I have ever seen in 50 years of going to concerts, and watching Elvis do those faces was priceless. We were in the 2nd row over the Stage Right entrance. When Glenn got him by starting with a different song then what he introduced that was funny. Again thank you for the many hours of listening to your voice on my Elvis DVD's. Blessings, James

Loved listening to Kathy's memories which confirm to me what a unique man Elvis was with a precious talent. Time and again so many people who lived and worked with him say exactly the same thing. The positives FAR outweigh the negatives for me concerning him. One thing I don't agree with her about is her joke that there should be more Elvis Presley's around. Elvis was unique and I don't want any other duplicates of Elvis's around. There will only ever be one Elvis Presley!

Great to hear first hand accounts from the people who actually new Elvis than the slew of backlasing from individuals making docs that never met the man or knew him. Shame on 6ou. It's easy to maligne a great entertainer and person decade's after his death. Documentaries based on rumor and innuendo disgust me to this day for Elvis and other good people who b3come the target of malice. 2:05
