The Katie Vick storyline in WWE featured Triple H, Kane, and a mannequin known as Katie Vick. Katie and Kane were friends when the Big Red Machine first started his wrestling career, and the 2 became quite close. Triple H revealed that an accident led to the demise of Katie Vick, an accident that Kane was involved in, and Triple H also suggested that Kane did some pretty heinous and unspeakable things to Katie after the accident that took her life.
With Triple H re-enacting what Kane did to Katie Vick in a funeral home and Kane promising to do the same to Triple H after throwing him in the trunk of his car, many fans called out the WWE for airing such a ridiculous and questionable storyline. The Katie Vick angle was supposed to go in a different way though, it was going to introduce a new wrestler to the Raw roster and the infamous funeral home scene was supposed to have another cut which wasn't as bad.

@@JRC99 imagine Paul enrolled Kane in a private school and that he wore bandages, not a mask. Also you get that we are supposed to know it's HHH. He's f'n w/ Kane. You are not supposed to look at the funeral scene as real footage. That's why Hunter is laughing like a jackass afterward. Anyway, I guess I'm the only one that got what they were doing. It would have been nice to see where they would've gone w/ the sick boy as Katie's brother but whatever.

The most stupidest part about this whole stroyline was that they comepletely threw Kane's original backstory out the window. Paul Bearer would come out week after week and claim Kane was burnt, and that he kept him locked up for 20 years.. So apparently Katie Vick would go to Paul Bearer's house and ask if Kane can come out and play with her lol? They completely destroyed Kane's backstory with this stupid storyline.

There was a case of a real man who was an undertaker (IIRC) who sxually abused the corpses that he was trusted with handling. The mother of one young girl whose body he abused actually attacked him and got arrested. I mean, imagine your child's life is taken tragically and tragically early and you learn that someone is, essentially, using it for rxpe. People pass all the time, yes, but why be so disrespectful about it? And this isn't the only way Vince has disrespected the dead. So weird the way his mind works.

Good Sir, as a KZbin Premium member, I know how much a like on a video makes a difference. The vast majority of videos I watch get a like at some point, even if it's towards the end of the content when I've decided if I actually like the content or not. Certainly if I have stayed as long as the conclusion, then it held my attention long enough to justify hitting the like button. Your content however is in that special category of insta-like everytime. I think I must have watched about 80% of your KZbin content and have loved all of it. I have learned a great deal, had new perspectives on the most memorable wrestling moments and I also genuinely appreciate the way you put forward your points. It's so well researched that even when I'm being told something I already know, you somehow manage to slide some info that I didn't know along for the ride. Thorough is a good word to describe your presentations. Also the remixes are amazing. Just thought you should know at this time of 815 views and 126 likes, that I insta-smash everytime. It's like your logo has become more meaningful to me than the Nintendo Seal of Approval. Thanks again and I hope you keep enjoying making the content as much I and many others enjoy watching it.

I remember watching this segment on TV when it first aired (I was 13 at the time) and while I loved a lot of the edgy/funny adult humour content during the attitude era, I remember thinking this had gone way too far and I feel this was more offensive than the "Pillman's Got a Gun" angle from 1996. My parents were super lax with what I was allowed to watch, but this is one of those instances, being a father myself where I would not allow my son to watch a segment like this. Necrophilia is not a joke and that is truly one of the most low-hanging pieces of fruit WWE (Vince McMahon ever reached for).

Coming off the heels of the most popular era in wrestling history and the demise of both WCW and ECW, the WWE product in 2002 was possibly at its best from an in-ring perspective. Either that, or it was the moment that the Attitude Era had officially jumped the shark, which is also very plausible.
