Hi Katie-I have just found your KZbin channel and I love what I am seeing. I have to agree with your husband and everything he says about you. You are an inspiration to many. I loved your sharing about anxiety. You are right that when it hits we think it will never stop but eventually it does and we grow into a stronger person every time we go through these times. Using mindfulness (staying in the moment) along with deep breathing can keep us focused on the positives rather than allowing the negatives to control us. You are a string and beautiful woman. Never stop believing in you. Now I must share-I am a Mental Health Therapist but a painter who struggles to let go and just let it happen. Your videos are wonderful for me. Yes I too have a supportive husband like you who sees the best in me and my art. Maybe we both need to believe and see the talent our husbands see in us.

Horses stand and sleep yes but they can also lay down on their sides to sleep when they really need REM sleep. They don't need a lot of REM sleep, so they just stand.

Interesting, I grew up with horses until I was 11, but I was always afraid of them since they were so big... so I didn't spend alot of time with them and I didn't know they didn't need a lot of sleep, I assumed they went off into the trees on our property to sleep out of sight.

I loved this whole video. It was cool to see how you start painting the unfinished work, just kind of welcoming and feeling it out. I usually come back to a painting at that stage with a lot of impatience and get overly analytical about what to do next. Beautiful use of color, love seeing how people paint snow that is never actually just white. 🙌🏽

Hi I’m from Texas. Grew up around horses and have ridden my whole life. Yes they are sleeping. In a herd, you will also notice, several horses are always still awake and watching for predators while the others sleep. This is the rule of the herd. Hope this helped.

Yes, horses are my thing! Yes, they are all resting. A horse can doze and still be aware of their surroundings, as a fight or flight animal it is a skill that is necessary for survival. A horse can see almost completely around themselves, but their blind spots are directly in front of them and directly behind them. :)

Very nice video! Yes, the horses have a special mechanic in their legs, where they can lock the legs in place and then stand up and sleep/ rest :)

I really enjoy this type of video. It's at a real pace, and seeing that you work on multiple paintings at a time is helpful. I have a hard time continuing with a painting beyond the initial beginning stage. So setting it aside may help. Also when you were talking about the horses I couldn't help but think that I would love to see you paint a horse. Something like your stay paintings maybe. I don't know it just seemed like a great opportunity as your inspiration is right there. Thanks for the video.

Hi , yep the horses are sleeping, their knees lock so they can sleep standling and there will usually be one Awake keeping guard over them all. Ps , your videos and tutorials are fantastic :) i learn so much watching
