Oh yeah folks think Reno is like Vegas, they get shocked when i say we get snow. If you ever have another long layover and you can swing it gotta hit up Lake Tahoe it's one of our biggest landmarks here.

I work for the State of Nevada, and vendors are always shocked when I tell them Carson City is 8 hours from Vegas… it’s almost like a separate state down there.

Start checking your weather app for your layover destination so you will know what the weather is like before you pack. I do this every time I travel. Saves me a lot of irritation.

yes reno is desert but people don't realize you can freeze to death in the desert. To help you in the winter time since your always go sprinkle cyanne pepper on your salands and food or take in capsule form will raise your body temp.

Reno is a desert but a high desert, more like Flagstaff. I live in Reno and you can see where the tree line stops, that's where most of the moisture ends. I can't figure out where you were staying because you for sure weren't walking through the most "beautious" parts of town. LOL There IS more than one coffee shop at the airport but at that hour probably is only one open. Starbucks left and now it's Peets, NOT MY fave.

Kat....you were in my old neck of the woods! I used to fly out of Reno all the time (it was cheaper than Sacramento and many of the Bay Area airports in Northern California). It gets super cold in the Sierras and Western Nevada during the winter!! Brrrr....

The podcast is called "Science Diction" and the episodes were released in august. Each is about 20 or so minutes so easy to listen to while running errands

I only had 2 wisdom teeth thank goodness cause they both got pulled at different times but the first one my dentist numbed me to pull it but I could feel him pulling it and it felt like he was freezing it out of my mouth but then he stopped and started poking me with the needle and couldn't feel nothing but sure could feel that tooth being pulled out wish he would have just pulled both at the same time second one wasn't as bad

A quick question for when you do a vlog -- do you ever get used to turbulence? I remember as a kid in the 1960s watching my mom lose her mind because the flight we were on hit turbulence. It was her first and only plane trip. I've never minded it because I don't drive, so it's like being on a bus going over very bumpy roads. Just curious. :-)
