Only enthusiastic security guards behave like this. Otherwise, why didn't the security guard let her move the bicycle into the elevator in the first place? Carrying a bicycle into an elevator and then storing it in a hotel room is a strange thing in China. Usually hotels don't allow this. Chinese people often store their bicycles in hotel parking lots, which are very safe with security guards and surveillance. To be honest, no one in China would steal bicycles. China’s streets are full of shared bicycles. Moreover, there are surveillance cameras in every corner of Chinese hotels, including corridors (there are no cameras in the rooms). It is very safe in China, especially for foreigners.

Because there have been accidents in the past where randomly placed bicycles and electric vehicles blocked fire exits, causing tragedy when a fire broke out, so hotels generally do not allow guests to bring bicycles in at will. They will leave them at the front desk for free. This is also one of the responsibilities of security guards. Although the probability of disaster is very small, no one will gamble on luck.

Totally agreed as personally I think he has sinister motive. The Chinese is part of the human race and the fracas at Dongbei where the men were accosting the women and end up beating the women for refusal of their advances. Served them right that the police caught up with them and they are good to say serving lengthy prison terms of up to 10 years for the ruffian behaviour.

Another episode I watched in one sitting and LOL multiple times🤣First of all, you did the right thing handling the security guy issue. Can never be too carful on the road, even in low crime area in China or anywhere else! That guard should have never entered your room uninvited. Asking if you travel alone is another red light and big no no. Speaking of the weird security, I think he is kind of obsessed by exotic girls (I could be wrong, he might be simply want to help but can't read the vibe. Some aged Chinese men aren't good at social due to past env condition.), nothing dangerous but annoying for sure, he should never enter your room unless invited. You may tell him to get out firmly, otherwise you complain to the front desk immediately.

Knowing a little about architecture and hotel businesses, I guess the bike thing is mainly about fire safety, as the evacuation route must be 100% clear. Your bike was blocking the door a little bit. No big deal if nothing happened, but more than enough to make a hotel security guy nervous.

Watching your videos always make me smile. For a moment I really thought you were going to ride a goat cart or something 😅. Nice to note you still have your umbrella-like hat with you. Ever thought of having it attached to your helmet 😜. That way, you get the best of both worlds - safety plus protection from rain or sun. And it would certainly be safer than trying to carry an umbrella while riding a bike (which is not uncommon in this part of the world😂).

That is a small bike and l had seen a person (a celebrity ) brought his bike to his room in a 5 star hotel. I almost mimicked him in the show he was acting. There is no reason for the security guard to enter the room. Always carry a flashlight with you when sleeping in the hotel room.
