I sold my ktm duke 790 which was awful around town. The worst fueling I’ve sampled and very unreliable. Z900 is great because it actually works, is so smooth and flexible and bangs up top. It looks amazing too with that green trellis frame. I owned a 2003 z750 and always had a soft spot for the z line.

Bough an '22 z900 with full akrapovic exhaust and tune which puts 160bhp crank now... zero regrets. An exhaust is definetly a must for these bikes.

@surferdude642 Жыл бұрын
@@My_Ride Yes it is. I had a 2013 690 Duke and yes it vibrates, but I didn't find it too bad. It was actually fairly smooth in the 4000 to 5500 RPM range. I got rid of it only because the excessive oil consumption and spark plug fouling issues were unacceptable. Otherwise I may still have it today. Too bad.

I bought a '22 Z900 in Feb. Loved the engine , which has tons of character. In May, I bought a Z900 RS as well. I've owned many bikes, including a 1200 GS. It was in the shop more than on the road. These two four bangers will take off from a stoplight in 5th, without a hiccup. Very impressed with build quality. Wanted to let other viewers know these are fantastic bikes.

What's less costly than a motorcycle trade, depreciation, etc. after only two months? Getting the seat custom made to relax your knee bend, getting adjustable rearsets to reposition feet, and throwing on an exhaust and tune to give the bike sound character and emotion.

Would have been a possibility! I sold it immediately, because I was able to sell it for exact the same price I bought it, because of the great demand for it. :)

ZR900(2019) is my second goto bike along with my Vespa GTV300ie I'm 1.8m and can ride the bike all day. Mine now has Conti SportAttack 4 tyres, Nitron R3 suspension. Awesome road bike with lots of torque and pulls easily in 4-5 gear. Handling was good, now even better with Nitron R3 suspension. Low seat height is odd compared to Ducati Panigale, MV Agusta Dragster 800RC, Daytona 675, but after a few minutes, it just feels normal. Bike makes for a fun track bike, but being naked and a bit heavier it's not the best and the low gearing 1,2,3,4 doesn't help. With GVI fixed panniers the bike makes a great sports tourer. At road speeds the bike can easily get 350km from a 17L tank. Great air induction sound as you power the bike on. Not designed to carry a pillion. 60,000km and the bike hasn't had a problem. I can't think of anything i dislike, given it's not my only bike. 😊

I would absolutely love to do some test rides on multiple bikes. The dealers I spoke to told me the only way to do a test drive is to basically do all the paperwork and “buy” the bike. Then you ride it and if you don’t like it and don’t wreck it, they will tear up the paperwork. I just want to see if I like it!

I sat on a Z900 once at a dealer and it felt perfect for me, but I owned a Ninja1000 at the time so I didn't buy the Z. Unfortunately, I crashed my Ninja, and I am considering buying a naked bike now. It looks like the engine on the Z is the strong point. I'm wondering about the brakes since they are axial mounted which is supposed to not be as good as radial brakes.

Thanks for the honest review. I know exactly what you said. I've test riden the Z900 and Z1000 and simply didn't like them, even though they are great bikes and have superb motors. But I wouldn't change my ride for them, and I'm talking about a 2012 F800R, wich works better for me. The two cylinder punch at low and mid-range rpm is unique. I'll try soon a Triumph Speed Triple R 2016 or 2017, same bike basically and last ones that arrived in Brazil. I liked the 765RS, but still found it kind of weak, even though refined. And loved the 2020 MT-09, wich surprised me well; what a hooligan bike. But for a lot of more money, though. Best regards.

Actually, the GSX-S 1000 is a better bang for buck. But, it's ok. I own a Z900, and if I could go back I absolutely would have bought the GSX-S 1000. It has an aluminum frame, quick shifter, more power, sounds better, has more electronics, has led blinkers, better tires, better seats, better foot pegs, is more comfortable overall, better build quality,(it's actually built in Japan, unlike the cheap build quality of the Z900 that is made in Thailand) and only a few dollars more expensive. I'm quite disappointed in my Z900. And I even bought the SE version. It's ok, but I was ready to sell mine 2 days after buying it.
