Kayak fishing in La Jolla for Huge Yellowtail and White Sea Bass

Here's a few clips from a semi-recent kayak fishing session in La Jolla. Only the small Yellowtail was caught on live bait. The rest were caught on lures.
I know the video isn't put together well so if you have any recommendations or suggestions for future video's please let me know so I can improve video quality faster!
Setup's used:
Rod: Seeker S665-6 1/2' 20lb - 50lb
Reel: Torium 30 with 65b power pro to a 12' Yo-Zuri #40 fluorocarbon leader leader.
Rod: Seeker Classic Series BSC 665-6 1/2' 20lb 30lb (50lb)
Reel: Torium 20 with 65b power pro to a 14' Yo-Zuri #40 fluorocarbon leader leader.
Bait rod
Rod: Calstar BWC-870C 15lb - 40lb
Reel: Avel MXL with 65b power pro to a 8' Yo-Zuri #40 fluorocarbon leader leader.

Awesome! I just started kayak fishing at LJ recently. Only hooked one yellow so far and kicked my butt before he broke off, so I upgraded my setup with heavier line. Thanks for releasing a few for the next guy!

Thank's for watching! The only place I post photo's is Facebook, however, I only friend people I know, sorry. I used to post more but as often as I fish nothing irritates me more than seeing 2-3 boats on the water the day I catch fish and 30 the day after I post. That's why I no longer post on public social media unless I get something unusual.

Do you guide trips or what?! I got a PA a few weeks ago and have had no love in La Jolla so far

That's the goal one day. It took me about 20-30 trips to LJ before I got my first YT. Sure felt like 40-50 though. I advise you stop wasting time and go on a guided trip with Josh Pruitt (Darkhorse), Kevin Nakada (Sea Samurai) or Capt. Wade sooner rather than later. You can only learn so much by yourself. Not taking a guided trip sooner is a mistake I definitely regret. Could've had one hell of a year last year.

how long ago was this? I was just out there about a week and a half ago. got skunked cuz the huge pod of dolphins. hoping they've moved on.

These catches were about 3 weeks ago. Im surprised you didn't find fish, normally dolphins make finding YT easy.

Thank's Jake. I primarily fish mornings. Occasionally I'll fish all day but because I fish 3 - 4x a week, often consecutively, I'll only stay out for an afternoon bite if wind starts after 1pm and I'm confident it'll be worth staying out. I also work early so that has a lot to do with not saying out till dusk.

I try to fish solo. It allows me to do what i want without being hindered but if you ever see me, don't be affraid to say Hi. Unless I look like im focusing hard :p
