That was a really GOOD Blue you got. When I was learning how to catch a Channel up at Indian Lake, Oh back about 1948 I was always told to take my time with a cat and wait for them to take the bait. I would spend 30 to 60 minutes waiting. Those that helped me said if you didn't wait you more than likely were going to pull the bait and hook right out of their mounths!!

I know you do not weight fish in the kayak but it would be nice to see you weight some of those sumo size cats when you are bank fishing.
