Kayaking Across A Lake To Explore The Silver Bell Mine

Hey guys!
This is our first video from our mini vacation to Vancouver Island with our kids, Addison and Tynan and Tynan’s girlfriend Jaida. It was a late start to the trip and we didn’t get to Nanaimo until 1:30 in the morning. After sleeping at Costco, we headed out to the campground we’d be staying at, Horne Lake Provincial Park. Unfortunately the road to the park was closed throughout the day for construction. We ended up waiting in the traffic for over 2 hours! But, it was all worth it when we got to this beautiful campground, got setup and took the kayaks out on the lake. We kayaked across the lake to find and document the Silver Bell mine. The Silver Bell was was discovered in 1939 by R.H. Davies. An adit was driven about 130 feet in the first year of operation.
