I had to leave a mom facebook group because of the hate moms would get on sleep training. I understand infants shouldn't go through a CIO method or sleep training a 2 day old is a bit drastic. But children 6 months and older need to learn safe selfsoothe methods. I wish we did it sooner with Aria. Training a toddler is so hard!

Red Wine And Blue Mom omg I can only imagine. I’ve just been like wow 😯 like how can people be so mean to each other?! But yea totally agree, there are def extremes but we felt really good about doing it at the 6 month mark and we’re all so much happier these days! Thanks for watching!

I was so against this method at first but your previous videos convinced me to give it a try. You literally described my baby in that first video. I felt like a zombie and didn’t have a full nights sleep in about 4 months (baby is now 7 months but stopped sleeping through the night at 4 months)!! So I’m on night 2 and although its early days and extremely difficult hearing her cry, things seem to be going well - tonight it only took her 5 mins to fall asleep and today she napped for longer than she has in the last 4 months!!! I just wanted to say thank you for documenting your journey, it has really helped an exhausted mummy like me and your update video jut gives my hope that if we’re consistent, this can work!!!! THANK YOU!! 😆

Your video about sleep training helped me to go back to basics, because my daughter slept through the night at 4 months and then something happened and she was up once, twice a lot of times at night and I found your video and that night I let her cry for a bit and she is sleeping much better now. We all do.

Sleep training... it is so controversial. For the record, u were the one who encouraged me to sleep-train my 13 Month old baby boy. It was definitely time for that. He was sleeping trough the night since he was 4 Month old. But we were cosleeping and he was moving Around a lot not letting husband and I have any sleep. I was so afraid to hurt him in my sleep or that he would fall down while we seeping. As he was born, he slept in the bassinet next to me, but eventually he grow it out and got dangerous as he could sit up, so we decided to sleep-train him with gentle methods. But he just couldn’t fall a sleep at all. So we gave up and it took me an another 6-7 Month to try it again. One night he just couldn’t fall asleep. I was up with him until 3 am. That’s when I decided to try an another method and find your first video about sleep-training. I made my research about the Ferber method. I was against it it seemed to cruel. So we changed it a little bit. We sticked to the first day schedule all the time. 3-5-7 Minuets every day. On the second day we only had to go back in the room 1 time. After that he was sleeping in his crib though the night. It was amazing! He is much happier, because he gets a sleep he needs and has a happier mommy too. Thank you sooo sooo mich for sharing your story. It helped us a lot.

Virag Hogl yessss!! So happy to hear that! And modifying the Ferber chart to whatever you’re comfortable with is a great idea. So glad that worked for you and that everyone’s sleeping better these days! Thank you for watching! 💕💕💕

I always thought I would never sleep train. I hated the thought of it and it seemed cruel to me. But now I know I have to. My baby isn't sleeping either. We've been co-sleeping and for a while that worked. But now she wakes up all the time and I'm not getting sleep. She also refuses to nap and then is super cranky by the end of the day and just screams. I really appreciated your video diary. It helped me see that yes, it will be very hard, but it can work and when it does everyone will be happier! Thank you! Wish me luck as we are starting next weekend. I dread it but I look forward to having my husband and bed back!

I’m not at all trying to be rude, but I do wanna ask, why did you see making your baby sleep by themselves as cruel? Like, obviously they’re gonna cry and it’s not a very pleasant noise, but cruel? I consider abuse cruel, not the betterment of your baby’s sleep after the (sometimes) short process of simply laying them down in their crib. Not only your baby’s sleep, but your sleep! Again, not trying to be rude, and I’m glad you’ve changed your mind about it, but I just wanted to get the other side’s story because I’ve never seen a genuine problem with it.

@@akaEren I understand! My baby wouldn't just cry for a few minutes. She would scream for an hour and still not sleep. And not just any scream. She would hyperventilate. It was awful and I just couldn't do it to her. I felt like she was crying for me and I wasn't coming. We have worked slowly and she is now sleeping her crib. I would only let her cry for about 10 minutes and then I would go rock her and talk to her. It took a long time and she STILL doesn't sleep through the night every night, but she is at least sleeping in her crib so my husband and I can have some time together. I don't judge anyone who has made the decision to sleep train. I completely understand it! I just think my baby has extreme separation anxiety because I slept with her for so long.

hey kayla! our house is pitch black even in the afternoon unless the shutter and roller blinds are opened. Would you still recommend a nightlight or leave it be? was your daughter able to nap when you guys were out and about?

Sleep training is amazing because we all need sleep but now that I have two kids I've seen that each baby requires a different style of training.
