Sometimes, I think I'm too old to enjoy certain fun things in life, like afraid if I get down I might never get back up again. But after this, I know we can still, and ALWAYS, do the things we like to do. I don't care if I throw a hip out (again), I'm going to dance my way into the grave! Got them boogie shoes! I ❤ KC!!

Wowzers!! I was 16 in 1975 when this song was released and I'll be 65 this June. Out of all of the music of the 70s, this song and all of KC's music is the number one soundtrack of my high school days!! The best dance music of that time. My cousin Anika is the dancer in this video with the Mohawk/Twists and she was just born in 74/75 (now that I think about it, she is 50 or almost) - we have good genes because I can still get down too!! It is amazing to see her on this stage and brings tears of joy to my eyes with the flashback of my teen years and her birth. I'm still trying to see the show in person so I can get on that stage with her💃💃💃
