MHW: Iceborne - Raging Brachydios (TA) / Lance - 4'59"55

MR6: Achy Brachy Heart
Somehow, I managed to get a sub-5 with Raging Brachy going the wrong way, which skipped the damage slide entirely. I always thought this wasn't possible, but sometimes its chaotic AI rolls just the right way. Although it's two seconds slower than my PB, I prefer this video because it has fewer mistakes.
If it wasn't for some unfortunate staggers, I could have gotten a 4'4X, although lower isn't impossible. Raging Brachy is going to Raging Brachy, though - maybe I'll get it before Sunbreak releases.

Come to think of it now, yes, MHWI developers knew what a lance is. What a wonderful speedrun, doing so good against Raging brachydios that is a bad match up for lance.

I always thought that raging brachy was a good match up for lance because our lance hits right into his arms. Just need blast resistance 3.

@@oGBeginner I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I believe he avoided most of the heavy chip damage attacks I dunno though. I just personally remember taking a ton of chip damage with max guard + guard up

I'm in a neutral position then, and Lance can react to things quickly from any angle as long as you haven't committed to anything during that time. Most likely, the camera swivel to follow Raging Brachy gives the illusion that my movement was much faster than it actually was.

I wish someone did a brachy kill with on level gear... youre doing 2.5 times the damage of me, your brachy is drooling the entire time or is knocked down, meanwhile I am getting absolutely destroyerd. Im aware my skill is nothing compared to yours, but its so impossibleto find a guide of a scrub gear character fighting it, which makes you actually have to deal with the boss not just hit him in his drooling dumblooking ass :D

@@KCGeminiThank you, alright so I maybe just need to farm more gear, I assume that is the legiana lance and your damage is pummeling him really hard still, that life augment rocks too. I probably just need to farm more, new player on all content unlocked is probably bad to advance too fast... My crits are between 80-110, its a fair bit behind but I am using the royal palace pike. Health augment does seem insanely strong though, Ill have to farm for that and get a bit stronger before I can tackle this beastie. This was way more informative though, thank you :)

@@tangman9890 The Legiana Lance is transmogrified and is actually Safi's Frostsnout. The rest of the gear is shown at 7:31 in that video and consists of: Safi's Frostsnout Kaiser Crown Y Brachydium Mail B+ Kaiser Vambraces B+ Kaiser Coil B+ Brachydium Greaves B+ Challenger Charm V Kulve's or Frostfang's lances are good choices if you don't feel like farming Safi for its gear. It's best to be prepared for Raging Brachy because its power is closer to end-game monsters.
