Not even true, in the context of the conversation the Lakers played closer games in their losses than the Suns, you can look up the point differential or just rewatch the video, the Suns did manage to get two games, but that was with Booker and KD having all time scoring nights as duos, the Lakers by point differential played the Nuggets closer in every game, but he's not saying it was a close series, that's a significant difference

@@samuelgaona7196 sorry buddy but a team that gets swept was definitely not closer than a team that got 2 games off the eventual NBA champions while losing their starting point guard, and center and no bench. The fact that KD and booker had the capability to have all time scoring nights and get 2 games and the lakers having a more complete roster and still not being able to get a single game just means that they were not close at all.

And by your logic losing in 6 in wcsf it's better than a team reached the wcf? And you think if the suns kayed against the warriors they could've won? And then meet the young Denver in wcf so you think the suns would've won a game against the nuggets in wcf? With more games and maybe even kd injured based on how many mpg he was playing?

I mean you're describing it by the negative to make it sound stupid, the reality is would you rather win more overall games by having made it to the conference finals even if you get swept, or would you rather have lost more games than you won and go home in the second round? I think any sane person would choose the first choice, but then making it far and losing has turned into a way to discredit Lebron so Bron haters think losing earlier is better

So the Knicks are closer to the finals than Milwaukee are? Problem with your statement is the if factor, they're using actual facts, that's like saying Brooklyn was closer to Boston than Milwaukee were last year. Suns actually won 2 games, so did Milwaukee vs Boston last year. There's no way Lakers are closer especially when you've added a player for someone that didn't play in those two victories. Chris Paul didn't play after the 2nd game and you've essentially added an all-star to the team without losing any other piece. Suns have gotten better, Lakers have the same team. We can argue that if Suns had Beal this season then we would've seen a 7 game series I still think Denver would've won but the series would go down to the wire. Plus it's not impossible for Book and KD to go for 80 and now with Beal they don't have to.

No one is guaranteed to win, but barring injury you're going to have Porter and KCP playing better (because they were below their averages), Brown being even a little better (because he's definitely on the upswing) and Braun being A LOT better (now with this experience). Joker and Murray are going to be themselves and Gordon is rock solid. Nobody is beating them unless someone important gets hurt or they just have an epic collapse where multiple players shoot far below their averages and a team can play well enough against Murray to keep him to normal numbers.

@@imdbtruth It's a fair point. You never know when it comes to money, but he was really basking in the fan adoration. If I was them I'd rather have him than Porter (I know they play different positions but they could have a small lineup). You give him 25-35 minutes a game and he's going to put up real numbers. The only teams that have money to spend are the crappier ones. I hope he doesn't settle for playing for some 30-50 team just because they had spending money.

Coming from a Nuggets fan, it is the Lakers (if they keep Reeves). We swept the Lake show but all four games were close. They can play defense and made getting buckets harder for the Nuggets. Nuggets may have to score 120+ against the Suns, but that line up is not stopping anyone much less an offense like Denver's. It will be even easier for Jok and the Nuggets to score if the Suns get rid of Ayton.

Suns were way more competitive than the Lakers because they actually won two games. You would have a point if Phoenix didn’t win games but they did. I find it ridiculous that people think the Suns are a threat. Good job adding a 20 point scorer and another guy that plays no defense. Having a defensive coach isn’t going to flip the team that played bad defense last season and instantly make them good all of a sudden and we constantly see players who play no defense being unplayable when they start struggling to shoot. Booker, Durant and Beal are good but they are gonna have to play good every game and play lots of minutes every game because they still have no bench.

Simplify the lakers vs nuggets series in saying the lakers got swept is a horrible take imo. To say the suns are a bigger threat because of that makes it 100 times worse. The lakers legit blew 2 of those games and game one they had a chance to tie/win down the stretch of that game. If DLO doesn’t shot 13% and Darvin doesn’t start the series with a 3 guard line up against the nuggets the lakers would have won at least 2 if not 3 of those games.
@jamesdomenico2953

How do you figure the Lakers Legit blew two of the games? Nuggets put the clamps on the Lakers every game in the 4th and won the game. The Lakers didn't loose games, the Nuggets won games with great defense and offense. "lakers would have won at least 2 if not 3 of those games." Lmao, yea right.

@@jamesdomenico2953 the lakers had what 15 point leads in 2 of those games. Losing that lead means you blew it. Gotta hold the same energy because when the clippers blew the 20 point leads I said they blew it. Also the nuggets didn’t lock down the lakers in the 4th of those games. Their offense just keep chugging while the lakers were in come from behind mode.

The close sweep thing is dumb but real. The Laker played the Nuggets better than the Suns this past year. The Suns won the two games where Devin Booker had two of his best games of his career (perhaps the two best) and got blown out every other game. The Lakers biggest loss was the one they led in the 4th quarter and all the others came down to the final minute. Suns have the higher ceiling, but the far lower floor from game to game right now. They need some depth or I’m out on the Nets 2.0.
