My use of Lifeblood for my first run was scarce since I wasn't aware of their location yet but that doesn't change the fact that I still find them quite fascinating! They can also be very effective when used right, especially in a Steel Soul run so I dedicate this video to that aspect of the game I found very interesting. Its true! But not all of them though, only 3 of the cocoons give 3 life seeds so its just +3 I guess. At the base game, the cocoons always had the ability to give 3 (to 4 even) but the chances lower the more health you get.

Or, you could skip out on using any of the Lifeblood charms and instead use Fury of the Fallen, Grubberfly's Elegy, Unbreakable Strength, Quick Slash, and then whatever else you have. Then, get to 1 Mask Health, get as much Lifeblood as possible, and let your glorious wrath reign eternal.

i'm from the future there are now bossrushes that give you a bench with a cocoon that hold 5 masks and the final bossrush has 8 spots so if you did it hitless with those charms, you can fight the absolute radiance with 23+40=63 blue masks!

With Godmaster content, Patheon of Hallownest have a total of 7 lifeblood cocoon that give 4 mask each. Theorically, if you can clear the full Patheon without ever getting hit, you will end up with 51 masks.
