The odd details that have always bothered me are: 1. Her toilet seat was up in an apartment where she was supposedly alone. Women don’t generally leave the seat up so who did? 2. Vansice once referred to himself as “the last person to see Jodi alive”...on the day she vanished...on camera...in front of police. He also showed up at the crime scene that morning before any announcements were made and told onlookers that Jodi had disappeared. 3. A neighbor later claimed to have heard someone pounding on Jodi’s door late that night, calling for her to come to the door. It eventually stopped and the voice belonged to a man 4. There were beer cans in the sink. A couple were Jodi’s brand and a couple were not. As a local, this case haunts me. Thank you for drawing attention to Jodi. She deserves more coverage.

@@miss_daniele_83 yeah that's a really, really good point about the photos being potential trophies. And even her diary being sent to the news station, similar to the zodiac case. The perpetrator could be toying with the family. I wish the police would release more info, especially about that video from her apt. This case has always bothered me. To me, it could be both an opportunistic attack or a premeditated attack. She would leave her work very early every day. Someone who would have just gotten off of work from a night shift perhaps could have attacked her. However, I'm leaning more towards a premeditated attack. Someone who knew her schedule, she could have been not paying attention to her surroundings due to her being late. She was attacked while she was unlocking her vehicle, the key was bent with a large force. He knew her vehicle. Someone who is very familiar with the surroundings area. Probably a local. Someone who watched, stalked her and that's not easy to do if you don't live in the area without attracting attention. I really hope the police went through every single person that lived near her. But from what I've heard they really messed up on collecting all of the evidence. Would really like to see how the police handled interviewing the suspects. She seemed like a responsible woman and her sleeping in and being late didn't sit right with me.

@@miss_daniele_83 do you think the attacker went back inside the apt right after he or she attacked her? The attack happened right around 4:00 am and the police didn't arrive until after 7:00 am. So the attacker had plenty of time to do so. If it was an opportunistic attack, I doubt they would go into her apt. Statistically they wouldn't want to risk being seen; get her in the van and get out asap. But if it's a premeditated attack, then I can see that person going into her apt to collect trophies. Someone wanted to relive their dark fantasies. But this is just pure speculation. I wish we could see the whole case file, but I understand why they can't release all of the data. It could compromise the whole case. Like why the hell didn't the police secure the perimeter of the area near her car? And then releasing her car back to her family, was complete incompetence. To say that the police had bungled the case is a huge understatement.

There is speculation that the police were involved in this case. The investigator on the case was associated with Jodi. He was laying cement in his machine shed the same week she went missing. In 2011 he urged people not to look into the case because it is now cold. Last month someone vandalized her billboard with "Frank's machine shed." A former police officer began looking into the case a few years ago and got fired for doing so. Unfortunately we may never know what happened unless her body is found. If her body is in his machine shed they will probably never find it until he dies.

The concept of missing people is just... mind boggling to me. I’m a sophomore and there was a girl in my class last year who went missing over winter break. People talked about her for maybe a day and there’s been nothing since. Legit nothing. If you look her up, all you get is her missing persons page that hasn’t changed since last January. It’s strange to think that she was possibly taken by someone and hasn’t been found or that the worst happened to her and there’s been no body. It’s just so sad to me that’s there’s so many people out there who may never be found.

My older brother Cory was missing for 2 weeks last November in MS & it was the longest 14days of my life... We did eventually track him after I was able to hack into his iMac / iCloud & I gave it to the police... unfortunately he had a wreck in some underbrush :,( he had never left the car. We took up over $5,000 at his funeral & gave it to the Police Dept & they are now dedicating a new search drone in his honor... Thank you for emphasizing the fact that lost people are REAL people. @@bernderbernder3087 I live in a small community as well, or year ago last May, just after the March Covid shutdown, a very prestigious lawyer, killed his wife his daughter the family dog, he was shooting at his 15-year-old son as he was running away from the home, but thank God he missed him. This man was very well respected, this man was very wealthy, this man Had just won a very prestigious award as a lawyer in our community. This happened just around the corner from where I live. I drive by their home almost every day..Very surreal indeed.

All I can think of is the victim themselves in their last moments and how scared they probably really were and how hurt they were getting. Every time I watch a video I pray for the victim and hope that they're okay and in peace they are most likely not and still trying to get the answers to all of our questions out

He was abused, beaten mercilessly and tied to a fence and left for dead by two homophobes that targeted him for being openly gay and allegedly hitting on one of them, according to them. He was nearly dead when he was found by a hiker and eventually died in the hospital. I was in the Laramie Project. Its a heartbreaking story and more ppl should know about it.

I was living in Mason City when she disappeared, so this case hits me hard. I remember watching her on the news all the time, such a lovely lady, so heartbreaking when she went missing. I just wish we could find her, at the very least to give closer to her family. My ears always perk up when I hear her name in the hope her case has been solved. I'm sending Hope & Blessings out for her, her family & anyone else out there, who's missing; that someday they are found again.

Kendall, thank you so much for covering the story about Jodi. I live in a area not far from Mason City so I am very familiar with her case. Back in 2011 a female officer who had been studying the case came forward and said she felt police officials may be covering up what really happened by their failure to follow up on leads she has provided to them. She was fired shortly after that. It is such a sad story...I pray the family finds answers soon!

Sister Catherine “Cathy” Cesnik is a very interesting older case if you are interested in doing that as a video for your channel. Unravels ALOT of questions and theories. There’s a Netflix documentary series on it as well. I recommend everyone give it a watch!

Amy Novak I totally agree! I took a case study class last semester and for an entire month we covered this case. I believe it was a cover up from the Archdiocese and somehow they have control or even connections with the police at this time and it helped them even more with covering it up. So sad that justice was not served. It is an open case still so fingers crossed for justice in the future🤞🏻
