Thanks for posting this up. I wonder what degradation there would be in image quality with this brand of teleconverter, as opposed to the Nikon version. Seems to be quite a reduction in focus speed though.

The image quality for me is really good and yes, there's a little change in focus speed but it's normal... The 80-200 2.8D is a slow lens (no motors inside) so the loss is noticeable :)

If you were to put the Kenko DGX Teleplus PRO 300 2x N-AF on an older version of the Nikon 80-400mm f / 4.5-5.6D ED (2000-2013), would autofocus be able to work on that lens like the video you showed.

sorry i have nikon lens 80-200 af d 2.8 almost same like u different gen if i use tc kenko is diafragma still can be set from the body dx sir? how about if i use with tc from nikon new series it does not work ya?

yes, diaphragm is still set by the camera... I've tried my kenko with a G lens (don't remember the exact type) and it still works :)

It won't work with the it. The 150-600mm lens has an aperture smaller than the minimum requirements.
