A lot of people laughed or got upset when Staind "went soft" back in the day, but a lot of us were like "nice! he got his problems off his chest, he seems to feels better, and now he is focusing on self reflection, well done". Artists grow, performers stay the same, but it's not to say people who don't grow in their music never grow at all, but seeing it happen in art over time is an amazing experience, prove to us that it can be done if we ever get hopeless. Glad Disturbed is on that same path, seeming to have found some peace.

Sting was talking about losing faith in another person. Disturbed is talking about persons losing faith in themselves. Listen to their newest - with Heart's Ann Wilson - Don't Tell Me - two legendary performers!

YESSS more Disturbed please!! I love watching their thematic & musical evolution over the years! May I recommend "No More", one of their more recent originals?
@metalmellie43713 жыл бұрын
You really should do a Disturbed "month" like you did with iron maiden. I think you will love opening up this Pandora's Box! They are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I suggest Hold on to the Memories as the slow emotional gem that it is and then Prayer is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G as well as Stricken and Are You Ready as more their metal style!!! Do it Ken! You'll not be disappointed I promise!!!! They are true artists!!!

Pretty good song for right now. We all seem pretty lost lately. We need more music that heals not harms. Great that there are still people out there that are willing to take their talent and say what needs saying. Great reaction!

Hi, Ken! Not intended for a reaction, but for your listening: If you want to hear what David can do live, kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYOqc2ZqYpt2abs is an Austin City Limits live show from 2018 that is only an hour long, but shows his minimally produced voice and sustainable control and abilities across Disturbed’s catalog. After more than 20 years of live performances, at 45 years old at the time, he shows how well he takes care of his voice.

If you want to know what they can do live, there is a performance on KZbin that they did live from a news studio. The performance is completely live but there's no audience in the studio so you can hear them live with a pretty pure sound quality. They perform "A reason to fight" and "hold on to memories" both excellent and deeply meaningful songs. There's a vid of both together and separate vids of the performance. They're not too hard to find on here but definitely worth a listen

I enjoyed your reaction to this song. Sometimes its hard to tell if someone is enjoying what they are hearing. When you "helped" David move up to a high note and were smiling so much, it was clear you were enjoying what you were hearing.

I love Disturbed. I enjoyed your reaction to both of their songs. I would recommend more of their stuff. I have too many favorites to request a particular one. The live video of Hold On To Memories is great. I love The Light, The Night, Open Your Eyes, Prayer, A Reason To Fight, etc.. Any of them would be nice for you to react to.

Ken....would you be adverse to something a bit heavier from David Draiman?? Lol....try his latest collaboration with guitarist Nita Strauss called "Dead Inside". You won't believe how he can use that vocal fry. Loved your reaction with this.

New sub here. I love Disturbed! If you want live performances, I suggest these : 1. Remember (live in Quebec City) 2. The Night (live in Raleigh). Both more their signature style. 3. Hold onto memories (acoustic, Audacy News).

They were going to perform this live before going on tour with their new album in 2020, but the COVID pandemic put an end to the tour. Instead, they released this single on 9/11/2020. Perhaps we'll see him perform it live on one of the Late Night Shows before the year is out, now that they're all back in the studio.

If you are looking to review a fantastic vocalist, might I suggest Marko Saaresto lead vocalist of Poets of the Fall. There are a wide range of truly live performances on youtube to review. I would recommend the live version of "Lift" kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnOYaIt8rrODaMk But there are many others. Marko has a very great control over his voice and his falsetto's are outstanding and I've seen people refer to some of what he does as a chest falsetto but I don't know how accurate that is.
