For many years i wondered who sang that song, it wasn't until i heard it been played in the background of a movie in 2012 that i was able to search it and found who sang that beautiful song i heard as a child that stuck with me all these years. Not sure about that. It was a short interview. Linda did most of the talking and along with the usual 'lovey' stuff that you would expect on an occasion of this kind we are gifted a gem of advice (for aspirant young singers to master a musical instrument), and its given the poignance it deserves. Also Linda seems to be relaxed and enjoying the moment, when we know she tends to shy away from the public eye because of her disability these days (and dislike of flying). I know she is always the consummate professional but it seemed genuine to me, so if the mission was as much to make Linda Ronstadt feel at ease then Paula Reid (I'm afraid I don't know who she is) did her job. There's a limit to what can be done in three and a half minutes.

This Lady is one of my Musical Idols & also one that I’m told when I’m singing along to, people can’t tell if it’s me or Linda. Which is the ultimate of compliments to me. I adore her appearance on The Muppet Show & that one song she sings w/Kermit...I always get choked up when watching it, as it’s just Linda at her very best. I actually sang one of Linda’s songs from the album I Don’t Know Much comes from at a Summer Camp Talent Show once many moons ago & hearing Aaron Neville & Trisha Yearwood sing it tonight brought those memories back. I’m also Legally Blind, so completely understood what Linda meant about “Is it Aaron? Then I heard *that* voice...”. That man has one of those special voices that you instantly know who is singing the instant he opens his mouth. He truly is a Gift from Heaven & aren’t we the lucky ones to have him down here? I’m also a huge, huge Trisha Yearwood fan & her & Aaron sounded *so* good doing Don’t Know Much together. Love how Linda when talking about Trisha focuses right away on her being an awesome cook. 😄 An amazing singer as well, but also an awesome cook. I’ve actually tried some of her recipes from her show & they’ve always turned out & gotten raves. They really are just simple, good Home Cooking. Nothing really fancy. Just good food. Speaking of...I hope Linda enjoyed her Dinner w/her dear Friends Kevin, Aaron, Trisha and Emmylou. That to me was the best part of the night!! When Linda saw Emmylou...😂😂😂 That’s so interesting to me the advice she’d give to herself at the beginning of her Career. It makes sense too. So many vocalists know in their hearts what they want w/their music, but those who aren’t able to play an instrument, do have a harder time getting what they hear in their hearts out. If that makes sense. I hope it does. I was so thrilled when I heard Linda was a part of this year’s Class of the Kennedy Centre Honours. So well deserved to a very Great Lady!! 😊

She hasn't been able to sing the last years because of her parkinson. She said she sings in her mind.

@@elieengoslin3623 When she said this I just took it in. That brain is a powerhouse, which made her an amazing artist and why we as fans of hers love her so. I hope other up and coming musicians listen to her knowledge. I work with seniors and I always ask them, " if they like music and if so who or what type." This will be one of the artist, #LindaRonstadt and her song, "Don't know much" and other soothing music I will have on my playlist for those who are not vocal.
