Ken, I got a Weber rotisserie for Christmas and have been dying to use it. Tomorrow is the day! Was very excited to see you using the Montreal Chicken seasoning which was what I was planning on using. I feel very prepared now after viewing your video. Thanks!!

That is awesome. I love my Weber Rotisserie! I don’t use it all the time, but I’m sure glad I have it when I need it. Thanks so much and good luck on that cook!

Ken, made it last night and oh my, wish I could add a pic here to show you. Absolutely delicious. Took about an hour and 45 minutes. I make beer can chicken but have to say this rotisserie way retains the juices so much better and more naturally than having a beer can up its nether regions. Was absolutely the best and the anxiety one has when cooking something or with something they've never used before was eased substantially by your video. Thanks again!

Goat video Ken , my question is does it matter concerning the charcoal placement does it matter if the coals are all on one side of the weber kettle or use the half's? Thank You
@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don’t know that it matters. The important thing is that you don’t put it directly under the meat. You want the meat indirect where it is more like baking, rather than grilling. I hope this helps… thanks so much for watching!

Great video. I have had exactly this bit of kit for just shy of one year now, but have only ever used it twice. The main reason is that I have always been a bit nervous as my Weber rottiserie ring does not fit as flush to the kettle base as I would like. Is this the same for you ? I have heard this is pretty common and I have noticed it in some other vids. Be great if you can confirm from your experience if yours is unstable to. In my case, if I gently push down with one finger on the rottiserie ring even very gently at one end it jiggle and clangs quite alot and dislodges because it does not seat as well as I would like; I fear the rotisserie ring could just fall of the kettle base in the middle of cooking especially while cooking a heavier cut of meat. Other than that, I also naturally thereord loose alot of heat and smoke which makes controlling the cook very difficult and I waste alot of fuel. Any advice from your experience would be great. Do you think this a design flaw or a factory issue with just some units like mine?
@KenRogersMostlyOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
You know, I can't say that I have had any issues, but it does fit a little loose. I've still had some great cooks with it. Have you contacted Weber about your concerns? I have heard that customer service is awesome at Weber. Thanks so much for watching!

I was just imaging a spritzer built into the top so you wouldn’t have to loose so much heat taking the top off.

pre light some coals and or wood in a secondary area.. then add then (ALREADY HOT) to your late end cook.. will work better.. just some FYI
