What’s crazy is that I’ve driven over this bridge many times and each time I drive over it I think about what if someone hit the rail in a crash and went over the side!! It’s been a fear of mine because people drive so fast! This person lived through something I’ve thought about happening so many times!!!! Such a close call.

I've read that an oncoming vehicle crossed into her lane and hit her head-on. No avoiding that regardless of gender, or race.

This was incredible. I'm a trucker, and this rescue was insane unreal. Thanks to the firemen. But now the question remains what toe company is responsible for getting that truck and trailer out of there. That's some more heroics. Cause you better sure as hell be an elite wrecker service to safely get that thing off the bridge. Looks like only reason it didn't go all the way down is because part of the drivers side of the trailer hit one of the beams on the bridge at just the right angle.

Mad respect for the crews that pulled that off. They made it look easy, like they do it every day. As a 20+ city FF I am aware of what it takes for a rescue like this to be successful. It's the skills, equipment, attitude, they all have to come together and they do. These crews were great. Everyone had a job and they did their job. They did it calmly, they were methodical, and professional. They will tell you they were just doing their job and will be ready for the next call. Special shout out to the Ladder truck operator, he probably felt the world on his shoulders along with the rescuer.

Incredibly dangerous rescue. If the truck were to suddenly go over, it could become entangled with the rescuer's cable, crushing him and sending them into the river. How come I don't detect chains connected to the axles of the truck box and attached to the bridge abutment on the other side of the bridge? Don't they want to stabilize the load first?
