Chris your engine pre lube is exactly what to do on a complete new engine, those that say just pull the engine kill and crank it over till oil pressure can do that to there own engine. Been a long time coming one more step sure won’t hurt it. Going to sound great when she fires up.

I put in a renewed dt 466 years ago in my international .My mechanic gave me a barrell of oil and a pump to use.I opened the plugs in the oil galleys and prelubed it before we got it ready to fire.

Acrylic automotive paints are good up until 200-300°F. Not sure the thermostat being run, but most run under 185°F. So you would have to overheat the engine a little to harm some paints and then you got bigger problems then the paint. Mind you 15-115 degrees isn't a super ovrheat. Unless you plan on taking it to truck show, it should be fine Hope that helps.

This may sound odd but replace your power steering filter we did it to all of our trucks this year and it made a world of difference in the steering

Did the engine builder not dyno the engine on completion? Prelubing should not be necessary if so. I can't imagine not doing a dyno run prior to releasing the engine for installation. Not very professional if so

That what install lube is for. lol you can’t build an engine with out lube dyno no big deal. Professional semi dealers don’t do dynos on rebuilds either
