Definitely a bucket list trip, I actually went and wrote this down with an affirmation that I WILL GO THERE, my husband just passed away from cancer on Christmas and I'm in a new season of my life and travel is definitely a priority, just got to plant my money tree 🌳 and I'm good to go 😂

Mum and dad visited Masai Mare a few times and the stories they told us boys was amazing. We talking about more than 30 years ago, before commercial tourism... They loved every second of every tour they went on... So i want to visit this place but can tell you right now Desember 27 2024 its not easy to get accomidation... They loved Kenya

Amazing, you will enjoy it so much! The one tent is a: Suite, 1 King, River view, Patio, Plunge pool, Whirlpool on the website so it would have both but might be hard to book. You might have to contact the hotel directly for that one. But otherwise all the tents are about the same all just beautiful.

I went in February, however all year round there are animals to see and anytime will provide a great experience. The migration is sometime around August-October

How much did you pay for the private transfer as the flight is 450 roundtrip?

At the time it was USD 450 one way. So for both of us it would have been about the same as to fly but with the car there is more flexibility and we enjoyed the drive.

I have to say this location is one of the most over priced accommodations on the Mara. I think most people staying there are using points because of it. I had high hopes when this was under construction. I thought it would be much more authentically adorned like the Maasai culture. Or at least nicer than many other camps.

The Marriott is the bottom tier of luxury when it comes to Mara resorts except you pay for the logo and nothing more 😂😂😂😂
