I for one definitely lost trust in the medical profession and I am getting a little tired of this kind of thing. After years of paying for meds I couldn't really afford, I went Keto. All my problems went away and the meds into the garbage. Finished my first marathon at age 74, enjoying life.

I followed your advice on keto diet and it was the best decision I ever made!! I was full on diabetic and my A1c was at 6.9 and had super high blood sugar and weighed over 356lbs. I started the diet on April and now on November I’m glad to say I reversed my diabetes my A1c is 5.8 and i weigh now 271lbs. This diet saved my life and my doctors said everything is perfect with my health now. Thank you so much for the information!!

@@lyonsailing7520 yeah it's getting a bit out of control. These doctors are getting so well paid to do KZbin videos that they're getting too caught up with misinformation. How do these so called doctors have the time to do so many videos? Aren't they supposed to be in their offices or working somewhere as a "doctor"? I'm beginning to question all the advice they offer and everyone should take that they say with a grain of salt. Do your own research and listen to your body. Doctors aren't doctors anymore, they're money motivated monsters.

This topic is a sign of the times, opposite of reality. It's mind boggling to realize the way medicine has been separated from nutrition. We used to know that"you are what you eat". I have emphysema and 7 heart stents, and have been through the ringer in this industry. I swear that I don't remember one of the many specialists EVER asking me about my diet...in 12 years now. One cardiologist did suggest low fat diet, lol. The 1st thing that ever actually made me feel better was my own research into diet. It's just so unreal.

Keep up your fight for the simple truth in medical science. Your information allowed me to fight back when I was recommended to be put on statins. My care team finally gave in and did further testing (APOB) and determined that statins were not needed., When I needed a new primary care doctor several years ago, I deliberately selected the youngest doctor that I could find. He asked me how I kept my diabetes, type 1 under control so well, I described my diet to him and he said, "Oh your keto, I do that also on and off, that's great." Good, open minded doctors are out there.

I'm just some dude and cannot truly follow on the same academic level of analysis, but what also strikes me as a massive red flag is there is no mention of what this guy was putting in his body during his temporary diet. It's stated he was following a "ketogenic" way of eating, ok, but what was that comprised of? What do they consider ketogenic? What was he actually eating? The man could have been eating 80+ carbs per day and chugging canola oil for all we know.

I believe these kinds of discussions should be the norm, it really helps the people who are the patients understand what's going on in the scientific medical community, for so long we as patients have blindly accepted whatever our doctors recommend and we should be able to trust them isn't that the reason we go to them? This wasn't a yay or nay discussion it was merely a conclusion that more data and research is needed to back their claim. I've lost 62 lbs on the "Proper Human Diet" I can lift both of my arms above my head without extreme pain, anyway in the meantime I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing and that's the "Proper Human Diet"🙂

Doc says let’s go on low fat diet , statins, rx omegas and bone density meds. I’ve always done better on low carb but when I lost 2 of my children I stoped caring for myself. Anywho I’m not taking the statins, nor the artifical fats or bone density meds. Going on ketogenic diet and starting to exercise again (always very athletic) . I've been living the carnivore lifestyle since Jan of 2022. I went from taking two diabetes medications which barely controlled my blood sugar to no medications needed. In that time I've also stopped the statin. While my cholesterol has always been high, it's actually decreasing slowly without medications. Knowing my numbers are decreasing, my Dr. still pushes statins not because of the high cholesterol, but because she knows about my diet.

The prevailing problem with the medical community is the age old question: "Where's the money?"and the ties to big pharma in approved medical protocol. The problem could be labeled "conflict of interest", which in most cases is illegal activity. But somehow, the medical establishment gets away with it, and we the people suffer for it.

When VAERS, CDC & FDA are all tied together, of course there is a conflict of interest. Throw in how embedded the pharmaceutical companies are with the FDA, there is not one single drug coming out that is in the best interest of we the people. Nope! Only interest for those in pharma and people inside the FDA, CDC, & NIH getting paid by pharma and completely skewing "research".

@@bryaneve1343 @dan-qe1tb yeah it's getting a bit out of control.

I a lean mass hyper responder and had followed you for about five years. I’ve been on the keto diet for that amount of time and not really because I need to lose weight because I seen my health deteriorating. My A1c was starting to climb, my blood pressure was going up, and I’ve always tried to do what’s right for my health. I never smoked but I did follow carbohydrate, low-fat diet and was on statins. Started out with a calcium score above 100 around 15 years ago. Since starting the keto diet, my calcium score has climbed over 100 points a year. I’m now over 700 as of the latest check. My grandfather died at 27. My father died at 43 of heart attacks. Both of them smoked cigarettes. I thought that my rising calcium was just going over soft plaque that I already had. I know that that is not true. So I think you should acknowledge not having all the information that the diet is probably not right for everyone. I’ve been seeing the carb addiction dock for a couple years. Hasn’t really made a difference. I would volunteer and give any information and be an active participant in any study. My A1c at its highest was 5.7 and this is now 5.2 And it should be much lower because I don’t eat the carbs and my body just makes them. I’ve lost more weight than I wanted to. I lost plenty of muscle and I wish someone had the answer because I would surely listen. Thanks.

Now a carnivore for 6 months after doing keto for 7 yrs. Keto lowered my A1C from 11.3 to 6.3 in 3 months! My dr insisted on a 3 month checkup since I was honest and told him I was starting keto. I slowly lost 30 pounds My A1C went down .1 at every visit and my other health numbers improved steadily. He said to keep doing it. Went off full keto and slowly gained weight back. Saw a Dr Berry and Neisha video and I believe I will be carnivore now for the rest of my life. 62 yo female down 25 pounds and so much energy now. At my lowest weight since having my sons 30 yrs ago. Loving my carnivore life.

My sleep specialist was very dismissive after I lost in the neighborhood of 50lbs and required my bipap be turned down. She almost ignored me. I've been carnivore almost 10 months and my blood pressure has also fallen to about 112/65 on average. My resting heart rate was also a huge surprise. It was always, ALWAYS at least 85+ at all times. The other night I measured it myself and it was 56. I did it twice to make sure It wasn't an anomaly. 56 again... I've now lost over 70lbs.

Yep, just like if we look back in history and looking at what they considered medical facts, we will find their facts flawed and outright dangerously wrong, even lethal. Slugs, drilling in head, phrenology, and on and on...some early philosophers thought fire lived within wood and could burst out at any time. Socrates and later Plato that were a part of the founding part of science, were logical in their thinking, but often came to the wrong conclusion, but.....but could admit they were wrong and encouraged discussion to disprove them. .....unlike Fauci's Science that is more like the opposite of the scientific process.

So, this applies exactly to me! 71 y.o. 180 lbs. really active guy. 2 stents 7 years ago. They also said I had evidence of LV damage. Put on statins, carvedilol and lisinopril. Started keto then easy transition to carnivore. Not trying to loose weight, but down to 140.....blood pressure normal..feel great. Talked with my PCP and decided I no longer needed the BP medication and I told him I wanted to stop the statins but stay with the carvedilol. We did this for 3 months and then did follow up blood work...yikes! all my labs went up. Triglicerides 103, Cholesterol 404, LDL 316. Glucose 109, IR 6. I know that carvedilol increases cholesterol so with out the statins maybe that's why my labs are high? All the drs in my area are conventional in terms of treatment so, I guess I am on my own.

I was only 13 mins in and I already wondered if the patient in question is taking Vit D without K2, while having a calcium-rich diet. And what does ´ketogenic´ diet mean in this case? What did the patient actually eat? High amounts of plant-based fats, maybe? Bad fats and too much calcium in blood and tissue and the arteries may not like it, I think. Apart from that, even I see the massive holes in this case report. Either the authors are not as bright as they should be or they have an agenda (or sponsors).

One bit of information, presented years ago, that stood out for me at that time, was research showing high carb with high fat caused a health problem of some kind, exactly what I don't remember. 😢 I have wondered for a long time why and how such different camps as plant based, even high starch, and carnivore and keto can claim reversal of disease , even cancer. I remember me being on the fence, not fully in, eating both higher fat and some high sugar things such as Dr. Pepper, put me at a greater risk for some kind of perceived negative health results, according to that research. I think it might have been presented by Paul Mason. I just remember it was a researcher that was calm and methodical. Was high carb present, stood out for me as information critical to consider in meat research.
