Made this today. I used brown flaxseeds instead of yellow, and it turned out great! Looked and tasted like a rustic Nordic-style bread which I love! I toasted some of it with butter and enjoyed it with almond butter yuuuuum even better ❤️❤️🤤🤤 next time i’m gonna try adding some seeds in them to make an actual Nordic bread oooh! I recently bought some golden flax seeds to make bread because I can't stand the sweetness of almond flour, but I'm a bit afraid that flax seed bread is bitter. I'll give this recipe a try, fingers crossed :D

I think certain flax seeds are lighter. There is a difference between golden vs another...I just don’t remember what though. And if for some reason you don’t like this. There are other recipes that uses flaxseeds and another flour. I do look forward trying this. It is low in carbs....looks good w butter and eggs or sandwiches

Great recipe but I struggle a bit... I have still moist and chicken nuggets texture inside the bread. What needs to be changed? The loaf is still quite wet before oven and I already put less water than mentionned. More flour? More baking powder? Any ideas?

Hello Reem, you can try adding flavours to mask off the eggy smell. Add some spices and herbs like garlic powder, onion powder and some dried herbs. You can also add some nutritional yeast for some savory cheesy flavour.

Hi, I made this twice already using egg whites from a carton. First try I used 120g and second try I used 90g. Both times I had it in the oven over 70 mins, actually the second time it was 80 mins. The bread still was wet and at the bottom of the pan was a watery substance. Was it because I used egg white from a carton?

Hello Cathy, I’m not sure if it’s the liquid egg whites. I haven’t tried using liquid egg whites in this recipe so I’m not sure if it’s the reason why it’s watery. What kind of psyllium did you use?

@@ketoserts I'm using Now brand and I powdered it, also used finely ground flaxseed meal that I grinded in the coffee grinder. It happened twice. I will try using large egg white. I really want this to work since it doesn't use the whole egg. Thank you!

Hi, I tried it a third time. Baked it 70 mins and still little wet. Do you think that if I am using Bob's Red Mill Golden flaxseed meal I shouldn't grind it? Maybe that might help?

Hello Michael, I’m not sure about the exact weight of the egg whites. I just use my store bought large eggs. But my large eggs are approximately 56-58grams with shell.
