Why are so many folks here confusing the issue? No one here is angry at Jess for gaining weight or yo yo dieting. No one...Some of her followers, including myself, are frustrated due to the denial and pretense. We just want Jess to be real about what's going on in her weight-loss journey. She includes us when she's losing. She weighs in each week, talks about how important weight loss is health and encourages her followers to do the same. Yet, as soon as she falls off the wagon (as we all do from tie to time), then, it's all about recipes.. She gives no updates, doesn't mention her obvious weight gain and ignores anyone who asks her for an update. It's very frustrating.. No one is angry with Jess for gaining back her weight...Please stop confusing the issue.

I suck at being prepared and thinking ahead. I will definitely benefit from this advice. I tried the Wegovy shots (GLP-1) from March-June. They didn’t make me lose any weight. But next I am going to try the Zepbound shots (GIP) which many ppl find helpful when the Wegovy didn’t work. Zepbound has the added element of GIP. GIP causes the cells to be more sensitive to Insulin. This is very helpful to women especially, because many of them have PCOS, which is basically Insulin Resistance. Many women have PCOS but don’t know it. They think that because they don’t have any ovarian cysts, they don’t have PCOS. Or just because no PCP or OB/GYN has diagnosed them, that means they don’t have it. PCOS is undergoing an official name change because of the confusion it causes. Its name is being changed to (Insulin) Resistance Dysregulation. Wish me luck!

Hi Jess, I always enjoy your videos. Have you given any thought to eating a well balanced, whole food diet rather than a high fat diet? It took me years of being on keto, carnivore, Optavia, Jenny Craig, WW, etc. to realize that my struggles of binge eating, dieting and yo-yo dieting that the best way to lose weight is to eat smaller portions without removing food categories. Looking back I feel like because I restricted myself so much, it was such a difficult journey. Once I didn’t restrict myself but still didn’t overdo it, the bad habits and excuses were gone. I am post menopausal, almost 56 years old and started Tirzepatide to help my hormones and food chatter. So far I’be lost 32 pounds and I feel so good!! It’s worth considering, I would be happy to talk to you about it if you have questions. I have also been documenting it on my KZbin channel if you’d like to see how it’s going. Have a happy holiday season and know we are rooting for you! Stay well ❤

Excellent advice. I too, switched to a well-balanced diet and just ate less. It truly got rid of the bingeing episodes. I went on a micro dose of Semaglutide each week and it was a miracle for me. It got rid of the food noise and constant cravings. It allowed me to get to my goal weight, keep it off, reset my hormones and eating habits. And no, I did not put the weight back on when I went off of it over a year ago. I also had a dexascan done, and I did not lose a large amount of muscle mass either., just the normal amount that happens with any weight loss journey. I wish Jess would consider it.

I went on keto for 4 months at the start of 2019 to get fat adapted then went to a real food diet and by the end of 2020 had lost 131 pounds. I have kept every pound off for 4 years now at age 75. I have eaten correctly 100 percent of the time for 6 years eating food with only one word in the ingredient list with the main focus on protein. When you eat correctly you will loose your hunger and cravings. Weight lose and maintenance is about knowledge not calories, potion control, or exercise.

I'm going try it! I want to cook more to aid my weight loss journey, as it gives me better control over my meals and portion sizes. While I often resort to fasting because it’s simple, cooking allows me to explore healthier ingredients and flavors that support my goals. Plus, it’s an opportunity to try new recipes and create a sustainable, enjoyable approach to healthy eating.

Meal prep is everything. If I take a couple of hours on my day off to do meal prep, the rest of the week goes more slowly. If I prep a couple of sides, I’m good. Or snacks for work. Breakfast I have continued favorites - hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot, pre-cook a pound of bacon per week (just for me), pre-cook some different meats (ground beef, boneless chicken thighs, stew meat). Meal prep is king.

Social media has made it where you can't give constructive criticism without people being upset. The truth is the truth but we are in a world where people are so accustomed to lies that they get upset over the truth. THE TRUTH HAS BECOME THE NEW LIE!! Let that sink in for a minute. Jess, when you are on track and doing good, you share everything(weight loss, pics, etc.). When you aren't doing well, it's like you ignore everything you have previously said. You don't do updates, you don't share your weight, you don't even interact with the chat, and you literally just pop up with tips and recipes. How can one give tips but doesn't even mention if they are using their own tips and if they are successful or not, based on the present and not what was accomplished in the past. That is why people have things to say about it. I could care less if you have gained weight or loss weight. I just prefer honesty and transparency in a world where everyone wants nothing but praise and to hear the same generic positive responses from everyone, which does no one any bit of good.

LMNT is a poor choice for an electrolyte. It taste great because it has Maltodextrin in it which is a big no no. Anyone trying to lose weight and be healthy needs to stay away from Maltodextrin. A good electrolyte is important but not one with Maltodextrin. The sodium is little high and the potassium is a little low in LMNT also but the big deal is the Maltodextrin which they can add to things and not have to tell you on the label. She preaches. She makes statements that she will be weighing in each week. Remember, she makes these announcements to us. Then, come August, she literally dodges everything having to do with her weight loss, the challenges and statements she made previously. @davidadcock3382Ай бұрын
@@gretel9323 For the her long term Health GLP1 is Huge Huge mistake. The doses of GLP-1 provided by semaglutide and tirzepatide are far greater than the body would naturally expect to receive which may suppress the body's ability to secrete GLP-1 on its own. As a result, people's hunger may return even more voraciously when they cease taking their doses. To many people also loose to much lean body mass while on GLP-1 and then when they quit taking gain weight at rapid rate with their increased hunger and their loss of lean body mass. Getting fat adapted and learning to eat real whole foods 100 percent of the time which will kill your hunger and craving naturally is the only real long term way to success. Okay Jess, now your excuse is, "you don't prepare." Before it was not putting yourself first, or having to always clean your plate, big portions, busy with softball practice, etc. etc...C'mon! Enough already. The truth of the matter is you just cannot stick to your diet, regardless of what challenge you procure. As soon as it gets a bit tough, you quit, then make excuses. Usually, this happens on your vacations. There's no magical mystery with weight loss. Yes, it is tough, no doubt. But, one doesn't need all these gimmicks to keep it off. They just need to be consistent and see it through to the end...Something you simply cannot come to terms with.

It's not that complicated, Jess. Once and for all, make the decision to commit with no excuses and denial. Stop drinking the booze which lowers your inhibitions and practice fortitude. In 2022 you went on and on about meal prepping...And, look how that worked.. Here we go again with more complications...Just stick to it even when it gets tough.

Correct me if im wrong, but she hasn't gained all of the weight she once lost back, has she? Like at some level, she's maintaining, right? Maybe not at her lowest, but also not at her highest. It doesn't look like she's gained all of her weight back, but i could be wrong. What excatly is she "lying or bs'ing" viewers about? I'm sure I'm about to be called a woke snowflake or something along those lines, but i am just truly curious to know what I'm missing and why folks are so angry with her.

Hi there, She loses the same 20 lbs after the first of the year, then goes up to New Hampshire for the summer and regains it all back. She's been doing this now since 2024. Folks are not upset with Jess because of weight loss or gain for that matter. We all have known these ups and downs. Her followers are frustrated because Jess is in total denial. When she is losing weight (example this past June 2024, please watch videos), she directs, gives advice and asks her followers, Do you really want weight loss and it's all about consistency. She preaches. She makes statements that she will be weighing in each week. Remember, she makes these announcements to us. Then, come August, she literally dodges everything having to do with her weight loss, the challenges and statements she made previously. It's almost as if two different people are directing her channel. Folks call her out because they are confused, frustrated and feel as if they're made a fool to inquire about her current weight. On top of that, Jess never interacts with her followers. She has called them cockroaches when they call her out on the excuses and denial. It's complicated and there is no simple answer. Most don't leave in hopes she will finally come through and get back on her journey.

@MJ-mb3of Ahhhh, I see...it's a feeling that she is not being honest with herself or anyone else. If she stopped stating she will give her viewers her weight, would that feel better to people? I watch her intermittently and can see what you're saying about lack of personal responsibility, for lack of a better way to say that. Although, a 20 pound struggle is a pretty solid holding pattern from where she came and considering I have literally lost and gained 80 pounds twice before i got real honest with myself. I am not preaching to anyone or making money telling others how they should be consistent or lose weight, however. I can see the lack of trust--you have committed to her and she hasn't committed to you or herself...and I guess is mean on top of it with the name calling. Her insecurities and lack of confidence just exude from her, if you ask me. Thanks for the insight--I can't get that emotionally invested in someone I don't really know.
@Daisy-ns3usАй бұрын
@@MB-gl6tt Well stated. You are very wise...It's not healthy for anyone right or wrong to get so invested in someone they do not know. I understand why some of her followers are upset with her. Their grievances are legitimate. However, it is not going to change anything. And, it is not worth the stress that may cause.

Please stop giving advice on weight loss. You have no current credentials there. Do your thing as you preach, but stop acting as if you are an authority on this subject matter. You told us you have a heart condition. Yet, you abandon your diet whenever the going gets a bit hard.

Wow! Bitchy much. Jess is straight forward about her challenges, what she has tried for herself, what works for her. She always says”You do you!”. Regarding credentials, half the time they mean next to nothing. The “experts” are so often wrong! Be kind! And have a Merry Christmas!
