My wife brought home an air fryer yesterday, made this today and they turned out fantastic, single and double coated to try both ways. Also did some "breaded" mushrooms and dill pickles in the same coating and all three were a winner. Thank you for providing three methods of cooking, makes it easier for people who don't have air fryers.

It all started back in January of 2018, when my youngest daughter, Alma, began to have seizures. This occurred three months after we moved from Sweden to Spain. To seek medical help for Alma, my wife and two daughters had to return to Sweden. It took nearly four months for the doctors to determine that Alma was suffering from glucose transporter type 1 deficiency syndrome. The doctors told us that there were only two ways to treat GLUT1 deficiency syndrome. Either, we had to treat Alma’s condition via medication - or we could put her on a ketogenic diet. And so, after a ton of research on keto diet I found an amazing book, Alma started eating keto. Time went by and Alma got used to her new diet. She’s feeling amazing now and has normal glucose levels.

Instead of the almond flour, which I'm always looking for a substitute for because I really don't like it in much of anything, you could use some unflavored protein powder. When protein powder gets liquid mixed with it, it gets very sticky, and is an easy keto replacement for coating with regular flour.

After giving birth to my first child about ten years ago, I joined a popular weight loss group in my area. At first, I thought it was amazing - you could eat as much food from an allowed list as you like, and you could still have treats like crisps and chocolate as long as you counted them. I lost a lot of weight quite quickly but got to a point where I just couldn’t stick to this plan anymore. I had an uncontrollable urge to eat everything that wasn’t allowed on the diet plan. Ultimately, I just ended up binge eating everything I wasn’t supposed to be eating. At this point, my mental health had taken a nosedive. I suffered from terrible social anxiety and was at a complete loss. I saw one of my online friends was having great success with a ketogenic way of eating. It sparked my interest, and I ended up doing extensive research and came across an article about keto and decided to try it. Within a few weeks, my mental health was so much better. My head felt clearer, and my anxiety was decreasing. But more importantly, the constant urge to binge has gone. I finally felt like my life was not revolving around food.

For okra, my wife mixes the breading with the egg(s) and a little mild and pours it over the okra. She then just stirs it. It is easier and works a lot better than putting the okra in the liquid mixture and then in the breading. Why can't we do that with chicken strips???

I've tried the pork Panko, & wasn't a fan! Instead, I buy the Franz Keto bread, & throw em in the toaster oven, then after cooled, I pulverize in the food processor. Hi! Glad you like the videos. There are a couple different options. You can make your third bowl a 1:1 mixture of almond flour and grated Parmesan cheese or you can use only unflavored protein powder as your third bowl. The thing with the protein powder is that you have to cook the strips at a lower temperature or else the protein powder starts to burn before the chicken is cooked through.

Have you experimented with Turnips for waffle fries? I was really missing cornbeef hash! After Watching Steve's video, I made some for breakfast today using Turnips to replace the taters. It ain't quite like teh real cornbeef hash, but it was a darn good substitution! I'm curious if the Turnips would sub well for the waffle fries, since they seem to pan fry very similar to taters!
