I saute my thinly sliced (like cole slaw thin)cabbage in butter, or bacon fat, or avocado oil without boiling first. Salt, pepper & garlic added. I cook it as if it's a stir fry. If I'm in a bit of a hurry & don't want to wait for the sauteeing to fully break down the cabbage, I stir fry for a few minutes for flavor & carmelizing, then I add a 1/4 Cup of water & put the lid on to steam. Or I just eat it slightly crunchy, which is delicious! Stir frying it also keeps the house from smelling "farty" (as my son likes to say) & the family is more likely to eat it. I mix thinly sliced RED cabbage with thinly sliced regular green cabbage. So it's delicious AND beautiful.

Add the boiled cabbage into the rendered bacon fat in the frying pan and fry it till it starts browning add back the bacon and onions stir everything together in the frying pan then serve. I like mine with freshly grated parmesan cheese, it's delicious and pretty much zero carbs.

I so enjoyed your friendly easy going style and Keto help, I’ve just subscribed. Thanks for your great videos. My doctor told me to loose weight! OMG as a 74 year old female I knew that was going to be hard. I have mobility issues so strenuous exercising isn’t going to happen. However I’ve tried to follow the Keto diet, and I’m pleased to say that so far, within 4 months I’ve lost over 30 pounds. I don’t have all the bloated digestive problems anymore. Great! My budget is very thin though, so I can’t afford high-end foods like specialty butters, milks and eggs. But what-the-heck! If an old gal like me can loose 30 pounds in 4 months on plain grocery foods, so can many others. Keep up your great wonderful videos!!

Yes, I noticed, after the first results of Keto, not for loss of kg, but insulin resistence, I gradually added back a bit of this a bit of that until 2 years later, I took note of myself, my fridge and pantry. Nothing drastic, like cakes, biscuits etc, as I was never that way inclined. But I found some fresh dates, some dried figs here and there, and so on. Plus, watching too many keto video creators, I ended up on different keto types of plans, even carnivore for helping cure my long standing immune def problems etc! I heard if you run a business, you don't go here and there, putting in pieces of a plan that sounds good to you. You must stick to the plan you first felt connected to for your style and likes. So, am back today, with Dr Berg...but popped in to see this bright little face on this video. She has a good list and it's shopping day tomorrow too!

When I first started keto, I ended up giving it up, because every time I came to KZbin trying to find recipes, it seemed like everyone was trying to pass scrambled eggs as bread, or whatever low carb recipe I was trying to find. I started experimenting on my own, and feel so validated by watching your channel. When food is delicious, and there is a variety, I don’t have trouble staying on keto. You have posted so many amazing recipes. I do keep plenty of vegetables, and I don’t foresee ever giving up fruit completely, and I haven’t had any issues having a couple servings of fruit each week. I like that you incorporate onions, tomatoes, and peppers in your recipes. I do the same, and since I use them in moderate amounts, carbs have never been an issue. I cannot begin to tell you, how helpful your recipes and tips have been. I’ve even been able to convince my sister and brother-in-law to explore low carb options. In a short time, they both experienced benefits. I think you have one of the best channels on the topic. Thank you.

There is definitely a way to eat less expensive keto. I buy avocados and other produce at Costco or Sam's Club. Like she said in this video, cut your produce up rather than buy it pre-cut. She adds the seasonings for the dish to the meat when she heats it up, and just goes from there.

A few finds I keep on hand (as you requested @ video end) via my yr experience on keto I love: Navitas cocoa powder & nibs, Garden of Life Golden Flaxmeal (0 carbs) for homemade tortillas/crackers/bread, coffee flour by Earthly Choice & their Superseed Trilogy (these are great for adding some protein & antioxidants/flavor w/out carbs), beet horseradish, organic green olives, zero carb pickles, Eden Foods sauerkraut, good fats bars, organic celery sticks, Nick's Turkey Sticks, Lindt 95% dark chocolate (melt 2 squares w/1 t. butter, add 2 drops stevia + water & enjoy with 4 sliced medium strawberries and/or 1/4 c walnuts!), MacFarms dry roasted Macadamia Nuts, Future Foods Gelatin & Marine Collagen, canned okra (0 carbs) & Paisley Farms brussel sprouts (0 carbs) canned, also Lupini Beans (in brine or as a snack in a bag! I found 0 carb & 10g protein per serving!), spanish red skinned peanuts (great magnesium etc.), canned tuna, peanut flour, xtreme wellness spinach tortillas, edamame hummus (I used 1-2T w/h20 & EVOO for a great salad dressing!), parmcrisps, Eden Organic Canned Black Soy Beans, Zeroodle Mung Bean Spaghetti, Miracle Noodle Angel Hair Shirataki Noodles, Greek Yogurt by 'Two Good', Seaweed snacks, Seaweed Thins Toasted Coconut by Gimme (OMG soo good) .

WASH your berries as soon as you get them home! put them in a big bowl with water and 1/4 cup vinegar to kill all the mold spores. soak for a minute then drain and let them dry. They'll last a week in the fridge without molding.

@@Devilishka7 Nope, vinegar and water mix simply kills bacteria and does not impart any flavor to the berries. We do the same with lettuce, spinach and most other veggies and have zero issues with potential pathogens from our food.

My go to drink if I’m feeling hungry in between meals: blend strawberries in unsweetened almond milk. Add cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Adding stevia, or eurythritol is optional. Blending with ice also optional. Use as needed. Use any combination of berries that you like or one variety. The strawberries and blueberries blend is also delicious. Aldi has the best unsweetened almond milk. 0carb. Enjoy your smoothie!
