I have a tip for whenever you’re looking for a course grind for your pork rinds: Using a rolling pin with spacers, adjust for the size you want, it will reduce the nugget without crushing them to a crumb. If your pin does not come with spacers, try using a wooden spoon on either side of the pin to achieve the spacing you desire.

I use pork rinds to make something close to chocolate chip cookies. I modified a pork rind pancake recipe I found from another youtube channel (keto connect, I think). You grind the pork rinds in a food processor until about the consistency of brown sugar. Put this in a bowl. Add 2 tbs non-flavored gelatin powder Add 1/4 cup erythritol Pinch of salt 1/4 tsp baking powder Mix Then, add: One egg One melted tablespoon of butter Teaspoon of vanilla 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream Mix until well combined Add choco chips to desired amount Butter a preheated cookie sheet Make little cookie balls and press onto the pan Cook on 350 degrees f until edges turn brown. They are more springy in texture than a normal cookie, but they give me a choco cookie fix.

@@Seastorm-nh8cv For me, I try to avg 26 Grams of carbs/day. I Include peanut butter daily, up to about 1-2 tablespoons. I can say that I do maintain ketosis regularly and do not feel any ‘effects’ of the PB. Then again, that’s just me. Maybe other nut butters can work as well or better.

I had kind of a strange experience - I'm a 77 year old male diabetic and I take insulin however when I used your pork rind recipes I found that I have to reduce my insulin - the first time I tried it I went way low and I actually had to take some glucose to bring my blood sugar up, even if you're not diabetic it can't be a bad thing to lower your blood sugar and insulin level. You have to get over the idea of sweet and pork rinds not being good because they are - after all we put sugar in all kinds of different things like sausage, candy hams and things like that.. it really has helped me with my treatment of diabetes. Even proteins affects blood sugar but pork rats are not a significant source of protein. Yes I know we need some protein but most of us probably eat too much. Keep up the good work just subscribed.

Wow! Thanks for sharing those recipes and ideas! I love Pork Rinds for the most part, but I have to say,....I hate biting into those ones (in every bag) that you can bust a tooth on. (*!*)

If you eyeball those tooth crackers, save them in a jar, then process them up for 'flour'.

Great ideas! I love your channel. Now I'm wondering if the panko pork rinds could replace the almond flour in fathead pizza dough. 🤔
@delvingmind4 жыл бұрын
For sure it can. I don't do well with almond flour and the pork rinds work well...although I recently discovered lupine flour and that made the best fat head dough I have had.
@Paula-po9kx2 жыл бұрын
@@delvingmind would love to have the recipe, can you share?
@delvingmind2 жыл бұрын
@@Paula-po9kx This is the recipe I use for fat head dough…2 cups shredded mozzarella, 2 tbls. Cream cheese, 1/2 cup lupin flour, 1 tbls. Psyllium husks, 1/2 tsp. Baking powder. Make like fat head dough…melt cream cheese and mozzarella in microwave…I don’t use microwaves so I melt it on the stove top in a ceramic non stick pan. Then stir in the dry ingredients. Put back in microwave or stove top to help blend as needed. For pizza I pre cook the crust for 5 to 10 minutes then top and bake. I also bake the crusts and freeze them. This dough can be used in any way that fat head can be used. I like to roll it thin, and make crackers…great with seasonings on top like everything bagel seasoning. I have also used to top pot pie and also to make empanadas. In any fat head dough recipe just sub pork rinds for the almond flour if you don’t have or use lupin flour. The recipe above does not include an egg like fat head dough does…but I have made it with egg and a bit more lupin flour…not sure which recipe I like best. Definitely would use the egg with the pork rinds though…for more moisture. I don’t really cook with recipes…they are just a guide for me. Food is my art so I love to play and experiment. At least I used to! Keto/carnivore diet is much easier than my old vegetarian diet where I could easily spend the entire day in the kitchen making dinner! Hope this helps. 😀

'Pork rind' refers to the raw uncooked product. After roasting in the oven and salting they become pork crackling, or pork scratchings.
