Funk - This has become one of my "go to" staple workouts. The other day I wanted to hit the heavy bag, AND do this, .... I couldn't decide. SO i put on MMA type gloves and decided to substitute the jump rope stuff with heavy bag work (Speed jabs w/ high knees, combo's, ect...). It was awesome and I was thinking you would love it! would love your feed back. you're the man funk! thanks for all you do

GOOD LORD! I'm deeply, deeply in love with this workout. Jump rope and kb are my two favorite and actually the only pieces of equipment I workout with so this is pretty much perfection to me.

I also started using kettlebells in 2009 and my body transformation experience with them was exactly the same as Roberts. Truly the only thing you need to transform your body is a 35 lbs kettlebell, a jump rope, a pullup bar and follow Funk Roberts workout routines.

Thank you Funk! This is the best routine I've tried in the last period. Yesterday I've modified it, by a 60" work and 30" active rest, with a 16 kg kett for two rounds. It was very satisfactory :))))))

Hey Funk I have a question regarding this workout. Is there a real benefit in changing the style of rope skipping vs just doing regular skipping all the required intervals? Sorry if the question sounds stupid but I just wanted to know if I could do it just with regular skipping as the previous version.

Ivailo Petkov yes you can mimic the slipping without a jump rope or you can get in a fighter stance and throw 1-2 combos unstop until the one minute is done. Hope this helps

Hey Brendan, Thanks so much. That is used for skaters who build it to help them with developing lateral power to help with speed skating

No disrespect but I'd stress using the hips to swing the bell into the High Pull. It's clear you're adept but beginners may not recognize the times you do the High Pull correctly during a workout vs the High Pull when done incorrectly. Never arms/shoulder/back. Always hip on the upswing and once stabilized engage the core then lats and arms =)
@dali90397 жыл бұрын
Great workout! Maybe one inspiration for improvement... in all of your kb single arm ballistic movements e.g. swing you turn in/rotate your shoulder/spine a bit too much... I am coming from hard style kettlebell... Try to lock your shoulder more with the lats and tighten your core more. You will gain much more out of the workout!
@FunkRoberts7 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the tips...maybe due to the fact that I have suraspinatus and infraspinatus tears in both shoulders, but I will keep that in mind - Funk
